General Hospital Spoilers: Friday, June 10 Recap – Esme Enrages Ryan – Portia Seeks Genetic Specialist

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, June 10, reveals that Esme Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) delayed big reveal enraged Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) – and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) sought a genetic specialist to answer some questions.

For starters, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) found Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison), Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) and Cameron Webber (William Lipton) packing up the car for a camping trip.

Laura mentioned something about the blended family coming together, which irritated Cam and sent him off for his shift in a hurry.

Inside Kelly’s, Laura pushed Cameron to see that this trip would be good for him as well as Finn and his brothers. Plus, it might ease Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) mind to know her kids are doing something normal without her.

Back with Gregory, he talked to Finn about Liz’s decision to shut him out. Finn was thinking about reaching out to Liz’s parents, but Gregory encouraged Finn to let Liz handle things in her own way.

While Portia had a study session with Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) at GH, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) arrived with Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) for a fresh bandage and perhaps another scan.

Once Epiphany took Marshall to an exam room, she ranted about him leaving and admitted he inspired her to pursue becoming a doctor. Marshall also confessed he was facing his past and was back for good.

Back with Curtis, he came clean to Portia about Marshall’s schizophrenia and how he was protecting his family from himself. Curtis worried that Marshall’s condition could be passed down, so Portia suggested genetic counseling and testing if he wanted to be absolutely sure.

Curtis decided to wait for the green light from Marshall before speaking with a specialist, but he appreciated Portia’s help. Once Portia was alone, she called for a specialist herself since she had genetic questions of her own.

At the gallery, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) learned the Title IX investigation found her in violation – though Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) pointed out that Trina wasn’t expelled yet and could still plead her case with the dean.

Trina wasn’t as hopeful, but Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) showed up just in time to help Josslyn give a pep talk. However, Trina felt she had to be the one to take down Esme – and she didn’t want Rory or Josslyn involved in whatever she had to do.

Joss still wanted to help, but this is where Rory bowed out since the less he knew, the better. That said, Rory wished Esme luck since she’d need it with Josslyn and Trina going after her. Once Rory was gone, Trina hinted at having a way to crumble Esme’s story and pry a confession out of her.

At Wyndemere, Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) pushed Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) to confess the game he was playing. Ava wasn’t buying this attempt to patch things up with Esme and felt that Spencer’s true feelings were for Trina.

Spencer didn’t divulge anything, but he faced plenty of pressure from Ava. Meanwhile, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) made it clear to Esme that their secret had to stay under wraps and hinted about needing a grand gesture to match Ava’s major concessions.

Esme wound up hugging Nikolas before she dashed off, so Ava could smell Esme’s perfume once Nik spoke to her in private.

Nikolas acted like it wasn’t unusual for Esme’s scent to linger and turned Ava’s attention to how grateful he was for a second chance. That’s why it came a real shock when Nikolas thought the right response was to offer a divorce.

Spencer showed up with good Esme news for Cameron, but he had to cover in front of Laura.

At the hospital again, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) and Mac Scorpio (John J. York) were stunned as Ryan was wheeled in. Ryan had all the proper paperwork and was there for some tests.

Mac got in Ryan’s face and taunted him, so Ryan imaging yelling and pummeling Mac to the floor. Felicia looked on in horror as Ryan bit a chunk out of Mac’s neck in a murderous rage, but then Ryan snapped back to reality – looking calm in his wheelchair.

Once Ryan was in an exam room, Felicia dropped a baby hint to Mac. That led to Mac asking if Felicia was pregnant, but she shut down the idea and said she meant little Bailey Louise Jones (London and Jett Prinzo-Berendt).

Mac confirmed that Felicia wasn’t upset that they never had a baby together. The fact that Mac helped raise Felicia’s daughters was more than enough for her – especially since they had Bailey as their granddaughter now.

Esme scored entrance to Ryan’s exam room since she was recognized as a Spring Ridge intern – someone who could help Ryan communicate if need be.

When Esme approached Ryan, she brought “Daddy” up to speed on her hookup with Nikolas. Ryan admitted he’d hug Esme if he weren’t handcuffed and wondered how Ava reacted to the news.

Esme admitted she hadn’t told Ava yet since she was playing the long game here. That led to Ryan grabbing Esme and insisting words couldn’t describe his disappointment.

Back outside the exam room, Felicia grew curious and seemed ready to score entrance as well.
