General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that we have to ask: Is Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) terrorizing Port Charles with his sneakiest plan yet? GH writers are calling this mystery villain “The Hook,” so let’s talk about the potential for Ryan’s perfect scheme and how it might be revealed.
Ryan is faking his locked-in syndrome and happens to be a resident of Spring Ridge at the moment.
Absolutely no one is going to suspect Ryan at the PCPD, which is why his plot would be pretty brilliant.
Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) proved it’s not that hard to take undetected field trips from the minimum-security prison.
If Spencer hadn’t confessed on the stand, he would’ve gotten away with breaking out and returning during his sentence.
What if Ryan has a friend on the inside and is now taking little field trips of his own?
“The Hook” first went after Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West), who certainly would’ve been the first person Ryan wanted to target.
This mystery villain was also targeting Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) before Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) got in the way.
Josslyn was one of Esme Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) foes, so perhaps all of this is about Ryan avenging his daughter and taking out their mutual enemies one by one.
As for the clanking sound Brando heard, Ryan might have a set of keys given to him for easy in-and-out access to some backdoor at Spring Ridge.
Of course, the news about the weapon being laced with a toxin proves this is someone truly sinister and methodical.
Ryan is definitely the kind of guy who would do something like that.
There’s also the matter of the open letter Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) intends to publish at The Invader.
Alexis wants to appeal to the killer’s sense of vanity – and there’s no one with a bigger ego than Ryan!
Perhaps Ryan could secretly write back and offer some clues.
Alexis is hopeful that The Invader will get a response from the hook baddie, but there’ll be confusion if hints start pointing at Ryan.
The cops would never suspect Ryan at all, but that’s why he’d be a great choice for the big reveal.
Ryan has potentially created a scenario where he can commit violent crimes without getting caught, but his vanity could trip him up if he spills too much in a response to Alexis.
General Hospital spoilers say some twists and turns are still to come in this attacker mystery, but Ryan remains on the suspect list.
