General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) may be hiding his father’s faked death. Is Jimmy Lee Holt (last played by Steve Bond) still alive? Let’s consider some clues as we think about where the story might go from here.
While camping with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) in Pautuck, Austin had a guidebook that used to belong to his supposedly deceased dad.
There was talk about how well Jimmy Lee knew those woods and how Austin still felt like his father was with him when he returned to them.
That conversation now seems rather suspicious since someone from Austin’s past has just shown up in those same woods.
Austin confronted a mysterious figure in the June 15 episode and made it clear that he was to be approached alone next time.
The doc didn’t want Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) or her loved ones getting caught up in whatever’s going on here.
Austin then pushed this mystery person to cut to the chase and reveal what he wanted.
This all lines up with summer preview spoilers, which previously pointed to Austin being contacted by someone in his history.
Maxie will eventually uncover some things that make her realize Austin has a shady side, so let’s unpack all that.
Austin has fond memories of Jimmy Lee, but that doesn’t mean he’s on good terms with him now – that is if his father is indeed still alive.
GH fans will recall how Austin went after a piece of the Quartermaine pie due to Jimmy Lee’s death, but maybe that was before he carved out a life for himself in Port Charles.
Austin may regret going along with scheming Jimmy Lee’s plan.
Whatever the case, it could be that Jimmy Lee is simply dead TO Austin at this point and not actually gone for good.
That would make sense considering the hints Austin offered just before this mysterious arrival.
Plus, it would set up a major big reveal that would make Maxie question their relationship.
If Austin is capable of lying about something this huge, what else might he be lying about?
That’s something Maxie will have to wonder if it turns out Jimmy Lee Holt is still alive and roaming the Pautuck woods!
