General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, December 19 Recap – Willow’s Baby Gender Revealed – Josslyn Cries in Dex’s Arms

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, December 19, reveals that Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) stood his ground. At the boxing gym, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) tried unsuccessfully to convince Chase to perform with Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) at the upcoming holiday event as planned.

Chase refused to give up on being a cop and would do anything to avoid being tethered to Brook Lynn any longer.

Although Chase could never hate Brook Lynn, he felt that dissolving their business partnership was for the best. Brook Lynn finally relented and agreed to have the papers drawn up.

At GH, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) assured Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) that they didn’t have to move ahead with learning their baby’s gender if she wasn’t up for it.

Willow was indeed distraught over Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) news about the death of her birth mother, but she agreed to learn the baby’s gender anyway.

Michael and Willow were overjoyed when their latest ultrasound revealed they were having a girl, but Willow quickly panicked at the thought of leaving her motherless.

However, Willow got a pep talk from Michael about how they would find a bone marrow donor match.

In the chapel, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) worried Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) would call the cops on him and insisted Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) was still dangerous, even if she wasn’t “The Hook.”

Liz ultimately decided she could go down for helping Nikolas, so she knew she had to keep quiet and stick to the plan.

At Charlie’s Pub, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) met with Drew regarding Harmony Miller’s (Inga Cadranel) story about Joan being Willow’s birth mom.

Denise McKenzie (Alex Rietveld) backed Harmony up, but Drew couldn’t find any record of a Joan in the census from that year. In fact, no one even matched her description.

Since Alexis had a reporter look into things, she pointed out she couldn’t find any news on Joan’s drug overdose death.

That left Drew hopeful that maybe Willow’s birth mother was still alive.

Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) walked over once she realized Alexis and Drew were discussing Harmony.

After Phyllis reflected on working at the same place years ago, she suggested Harmony had always been dishonest.

At the gallery, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) came to check on Ava Jerome (Maura West) with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), but they eventually left the women to talk.

Ava gave Nina updates on Nikolas serving her with divorce papers.

On top of that, Nikolas confessed to sleeping with Elizabeth and added that she was pregnant with his child.

Nina reeled over all the new info and worried about Ava doing something she might regret, particularly once Ava mentioned Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy). Nevertheless, Ava was adamant about going after revenge.

After Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) hung up with Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher), she pointed out that Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) dad wanted her to visit Australia for a while.

Josslyn was rattled after what happened to Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse), but she insisted on staying in Port Charles.

Carly also expressed concern over Josslyn getting too close to Dex, but Joss acted like it didn’t matter now that Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) had driven him away.

Sonny showed up at the door with Dex moments later, so Josslyn reluctantly agreed to the protection Sonny offered. Dex was ordered to stick around until a replacement came.

However, Dex privately admitted to Josslyn that he would’ve stuck around even without the order since he wanted to ensure her safety.

Although Josslyn tried to act irritated, Dex wanted to drop this exhausting charade.

Josslyn wound up crying in comforting Dex’s arms since he knew she was scared.

Since Sonny heard about Willow and Michael’s latest baby appointment, he got one of his minions to send a present discreetly.

Nina also headed to Charlie’s Pub and found out Phyllis had been texting a new guy.

That news excited Nina, who wanted Phyllis to find happiness again like she’d found with Sonny.

Back with Drew, he confronted Denise about all the lies she’d told him – right as Carly walked in and looked panicked over their exchange.

At the hospital chapel again, Liz was about to walk out when Ava showed up and blocked her path.

Ava warned that Liz wasn’t going anywhere and looked ready to rip into her.

General Hospital spoilers say Ava’s vengeful streak will continue, so don’t miss what’s coming up!
