General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Monday, January 10, teases that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will react to Luke Spencer’s (Anthony Geary) death while Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) pressures Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) to be true to his name. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) will also have a ring theory, so let’s talk about what’s coming up.
First, Sonny will be cleaning up glass shards when Laura Collins (Genie Francis) stops by. Laura will reunite with Sonny following his Nixon Falls adventure and let him know she’s so glad he’s home.
Laura will also spot the booze bottle and assume Sonny’s heard the news about Luke, but Sonny will still be in the dark.
It’ll be Laura who has to break it to Sonny, though she’ll get choked up before she can get all the words out.
Sonny will realize Luke died, so he’ll smack the counter in rage and pull Laura into a comforting embrace.
Sonny will console Laura over this loss and do some mourning himself, but talk should eventually turn to Sonny’s fractured marriage.
While Laura listens and offers advice, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will face off with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) at Crimson.
Nina may wonder what else there is to say at this point. Carly hates Nina’s guts and any further interaction between them is only going to make things worse.
Nevertheless, Carly can’t handle not knowing the whole truth about Nixon Falls and what happened there. She doesn’t think she has the full picture and may demand that Nina spill more details.
Nina will use this opportunity to push Carly’s buttons and perhaps make her rather insecure over her current relationship.
There’ll be another secret that comes out, so maybe that’ll tie in with plastered Sonny on New Year’s Eve and how Nina stepped up for him.
Then again, Nina might reflect on some other memory from Nixon Falls. No matter what Nina shares, she’ll make it clear that Sonny’s still keeping things from his wife.
Nina may urge Carly to consider why and create even more issues for “CarSon” to tackle.
If Nina has her way, she just might get a chance with Sonny – though a full-blown separation may have to happen first.
Regardless of what Nina has to say Carly will threaten her and warn her to stay away from her husband!
In the meantime, Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) will see some warning signs thanks to the stunt Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) just pulled.
Trina will vent to Portia Robinson (Brook Lynn) now that she’s been made Spencer’s supervisor at the gallery.
Although Trina will start to see glimmers of the scheming Ava that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) hates, Portia may think Trina should chill.
Ava gave Trina more responsibilities and offered Spencer a chance to make things up to her. What’s really so wrong about that?
Trina may also find herself dreading the cabin getaway that’s coming up – mostly because of Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) and the trouble she’ll inevitably stir up.
GH spoilers say Trina will spill all her feelings about her group of friends and this trip, so Portia will offer some positive guidance.
Elsewhere, Esme will do what she does best and plot destruction. This cabin thing has become a total obsession, so you can bet some bombshells are going to blow up there.
Esme will have an idea leading up to this cabin adventure – one that’ll no doubt help set the stage for disaster.
Next, Victor will remind Spencer of who he is and where he comes from.
Victor feel like Spencer needs to start viewing the Cassadine name as something to be proud of and let his behavior reflect that of an heir.
Laura has been worried about Victor’s influence on Spencer – and she has a right to be since Victor’s behind several terrible incidents, including the decision to neutralize Luke.
Victor will keep pushing Spencer down a dangerous road, so we’ll see how far he can take the young, impressionable Cassadine.
Over with Liz, she’ll be confused over how her wedding ring ended up in her locker at work.
Finn saw Liz put that ring in her kitchen drawer, so she’ll explain the situation and ask for his thoughts.
That’ll lead to Finn thinking one of Liz’s boys might have an issue with him romancing her.
Finn might feel like they’ve been insensitive to Liz’s sons and their feelings about Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) being replaced.
Of course, Liz may point out it could be more innocent than that. They’ll also discuss the possibility that one of the kids put the ring in Liz’s pocket thinking she forgot it.
Since Liz won’t have answers at this point, she’ll think it’s best to bail on her first date with Finn.
Although Finn will completely understand, he’ll still be bummed. Finn may wonder if a future with Liz is really in the cards, but there’s still hope for these two.
As for the ring mystery, there could be a creeper explanation if someone is gaslighting Liz and trying to mess with her.
At GH, TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) will give Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) a nudge toward confessing his history to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner).
It’s the only way Marshall is ever going to make any real progress with his son.
Marshall will wind up derailing a rather steamy moment between Curtis and Portia, but they can pick up where they left off later.
Curtis will be willing to listen to Marshall, who’ll finally be ready to divulge info about all those missing years.
