General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, July 18 Update – Esme Questions Bio-Mom DNA Proof – Sonny Confesses to Dante

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Monday, July 18, tease that Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) will question the DNA proof while Sasha Gilmore’s (Sofia Mattsson) lies haunt her marriage. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will also confess to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), so here’s what GH fans can look forward to.

First, let’s talk about Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) and all the stress he’s under.

Despite keeping the peace with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) recently, Dex will do something to set Brando off and get a fierce warning as a result.

However, Dex may sense that Brando is mostly worried about Sasha – and that’ll indeed be the case.

The good news is TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) will try to help Brando unwind in the steam room. The bad news is Brando won’t have any real success.

Brando will rant about Sasha lying to him for months, so he just won’t know what he’s supposed to do with that information.

Plus, Sasha is refusing to enter rehab, which means she could slip up again and continue down this doomed drug path.

While Brando worries, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will worry about Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) as well.

Marcus Taggert (temporarily played by Asante Jones) will join Trina and Portia as they brace for the first day of trial.

When Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) walks in, Portia will wonder how things went with Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett).

Although Portia was really hoping Curtis could score some proof to clear Trina’s name, he’ll have to admit his plot went awry.

Curtis will keep working to get Trina off the hook, but it’ll take a little more time to make it happen.

That means Trina will have to settle in for her first morning in court – and that’ll bring some tense moments.

Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will seethe over Esme causing all this drama for Trina as well as Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Cameron Webber (William Lipton).

The more Carly thinks about Esme’s twisted actions, she more determined she’ll be to make her pay.

In the cemetery, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will cross paths with Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) and no doubt admit there’s been some Carly-related drama in her relationship with Sonny.

Carly isn’t the type of woman you can ever keep down – not that Nina’s really trying to.

The truth is Nina hoped to make up for some past damage by offering Carly’s Metro Court half as a gift.

Nina may also admit to keeping that hotel half since Carly rejected her offer, which she finds perfectly reasonable despite Sonny’s revenge accusations.

Once Liesl hears about all this, she might choose to see it from all sides.

Obrecht may get that Nina’s heart was in the right place initially, but is Nina being petty by refusing to sell that half to Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) now?

Liesl would never deny Nina that pettiness, but she might think Nina should acknowledge it.

That said, Obrecht may also think Sonny could do a better job of showing his loyalty to Nina over Carly.

At the boxing gym, Dante will realize Sonny’s got a lot on his mind, so he’ll provide a sympathetic ear.

Sonny will come clean about his conflict with Nina, so Dante may sense that Sonny’s indeed trying to have his cake and eat it, too.

Sonny can’t go all in with Nina if he’s still siding with Carly all the time.

Dante might think Sonny is overcompensating because he feels guilty for causing some of Carly’s pain, so maybe he could stand to butt out somewhat.

Sonny will eventually want to ditch all this talking and spar with Dante in the ring, so Dante will help his father in more ways than one.

Next, Spencer will hand over the fake proof and act like Esme can have the family she always dreamed of.

Esme will reel over Spencer offering the chance to meet her biological mother – and she’ll be even more stunned by the phony DNA results he provides.

Spencer will hope to score a confession and clear Trina’s name, but he’s trying to pull off an incredibly risky bluff.

Esme will have questions about the DNA evidence and will no doubt want to talk to Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) about her birth mother before she accepts any deals.

General Hospital spoilers say Esme will keep landing in some jams as Trina’s trial heats up.
