General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Monday, May 16, teases that Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) job offer will be a disaster – and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will rip Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) to shreds. Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) secret will also spill, so there’ll be plenty of excitement happening around Port Charles.
For starters, Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda) is all set to recite his poem, but his nerves seem to be creeping up again.
Leo is counting on Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) to come support him – and Chase will indeed make it to the fair in time to hear Leo do his thing.
Chase has become a supportive buddy, so he’ll make a deal with Leo ahead of his performance that should prove helpful.
Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) will try to keep his mind on Leo, but Drew will mention a proposition he wants to run by him.
After talking it over with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), Drew will be in agreement about offering Ned the COO position following the merger.
Ned will feel snubbed and lash out, so Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will stand a good chance of pulling Ned into his corner in their upcoming meeting.
In the meantime, Anna will come clean to Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) about her complicated romance with Valentin, so Felicia will scold Anna for hiding key facts.
Felicia will also grill Valentin to make sure his heart’s in the right place, so Valentin may assure her that he’s head over heels and would gladly have more of a relationship if Anna would allow it.
Next, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) will face a tough blow once Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) makes a confession.
Stella has been sitting on information regarding Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) for decades, so it’ll understandably upset Curtis when he finds out she lied all this time.
While Curtis asks Stella about her deception, Trina will deliver some disappointing updates to Portia and Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West).
That could involve the threat of getting kicked out of school since Trina will indeed face one.
Trina’s legal issues are ruining her life, so Portia will say that to Spencer’s face and insist this is his fault along with that horrible girlfriend of his.
Furthermore, Portia won’t think Spencer could possibly understand when his rich family bought him a slap on the wrist and he’s living on a fancy island.
As for Trina, she’ll prove she’s got a heart of gold by fretting over Ava’s marriage.
Ava will push Trina to let her worry about that since Trina’s got so much to deal with already.
Other GH spoilers say Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) will try to get back on Spencer’s good side.
There’ll be some big surprise that Esme hopes will lead to a passionate reconnection, but she’ll obviously strike out.
However, Esme will try to turn a setback into an advantage when she talks to Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma).
Perhaps Esme will act like she’s in the same boat Nikolas is in and use that to grow closer to him.
While Esme resorts to more manipulation, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will sound the alarm to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) has made it clear that he’s ready to destroy Sonny, so Dante will try to warn his father.
Sonny will get the feeling that Dante’s telling him to watch his back. Of course, maybe it’s Michael who needs to watch his own!
If we’re gearing up for a Michael vs. Sonny battle, it’s hard to believe that’s a war Michael stands any chance of winning.
General Hospital spoilers say Dante will remain in the middle of the conflict for now, so we’ll see if he can help at all.
