General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, November 14 Recap – Liz’s Father Makes Bold Move – Trina Struggles with Spencer

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, November 14, reveals that Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) made a bold move as Jeff Webber (William Moses) returned to town and faced Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton). Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) also struggled with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) during a prison visit, so here’s how all the action played out.

At the hospital, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) got his genetic screening results back and wanted Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) to be there when the genetic counselor explained them.

Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) was on hand as well, but Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) pulled her away to speak privately.

That led to Portia lashing out and assuming Jordan was butting in her personal business again, but Jordan clarified this was about Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) being back in town.

Later, Portia ended up explaining the genetic screening results since the genetic counselor wasn’t available yet.

Curtis was relieved to learn he didn’t have any of the genes associated with schizophrenia – and Marshall was moved to tears over the news.

Portia reconvened with Jordan and let her know Curtis was in the clear, but Jordan pointed out that still didn’t answer the question of whether Trina was Curtis’ daughter.

After an AA meeting, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) quizzed Finn about Reiko Finn’s (Mele Iharo) affair and urged him to open up to Elizabeth.

Finn hinted about things being messy, but Alexis still gave him a nudge to talk to Liz.

At home, Liz declined to respond to Jeff’s attempts to get in touch over the phone.

When Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) arrived, Liz tried to tell her this wasn’t the best time.

Carly barged in anyway and heard Liz’s version of events following the pier faceoff with Esme Prince (Avery Pohl).

Once Carly noticed Elizabeth had been gathering old photos of her parents, she realized Liz was getting rid of them.

Elizabeth confessed that she hadn’t seen her parents in 25 years until a few days ago, but that conversarion didn’t go well.

Even so, Carly thought Liz might want those photos someday and advised against burning them in the fireplace.

Once Carly left, she peeked in and saw that Liz had lit a match. Carly then looked at a photo she managed to swipe – presumably in case Liz changed her mind.

Back at GH, Jordan needed to do a follow-up with Elizabeth, so she asked Finn if Liz checked herself out last night.

Finn was taken aback to learn Liz had been in the hospital.

Afterward, Jeff showed up looking for Liz at the nurses’ desk and said he was her father. Finn came face to face with Jeff moments later.

Meanwhile, Alexis spoke to Jordan and felt like she was getting the runaround on the exclusive interview she was promised.

That prompted a call to Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) about their insurance policy.

In Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) dorm, she managed to get rid of her RA by acting like the bed bug thing was just a misunderstanding.

Adam (Joshua Benard) came along next, so Joss made up a cover story about having a stray cat in her room and got him to keep quiet.

Once Joss finally returned to Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), he had collapsed on the floor after trying to hide from the RA.

Josslyn managed to wake Dex up, but he refused to go to urgent care despite her pleas.

Joss helped Dex back into bed and decided to go get him some antibiotics, but she warned him stay put in the meantime.

Just as Josslyn stepped outside the door, Carly showed up looking for her.

At Wyndemere, Esme was now in a completely sealed off room with boarded up windows.

Nikolas Cassadine (temporarily played by Adam Huss) warned that if Esme plotted another escape, he’d send her to Greece.

After Esme threw her breakfast tray, Demetrius the servant cleaned it up and said he’d get her an early lunch.

Esme sensed that Demetrius was kind, so she urged him to alert the police for Nikolas’ sake and acted like he wasn’t in his right mind.

Demetrius refused to get the police involved, so a frustrated Esme threw herself on the bed.

However, Esme suddenly looked across the room at something and seemed curious.

Downstairs, Ava Jerome (Maura West) said she heard from Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) that Esme was alive and back in town.

Nikolas reassured Ava since Esme hadn’t made any vengeful moves, but Ava felt that they had to go after Esme before she went after them.

When Nikolas promised not to let Esme hurt Ava or his family again, Ava wished he could keep his promises as easily as he made them.

Once Ava was gone, Liz arrived on Nikolas’ doorstep and glared at him.

At Pentonville, Trina wanted to have an honest discussion with Spencer and see if anything could be salvaged between them.

Spencer talked about knowing Trina was innocent from the start, so she admitted how much it hurt thinking he wasn’t on her side.

After Spencer acted like he didn’t think Trina cared about him, she snapped that he knew how she felt.

It was Spencer who hadn’t been clear about his own feelings.

Spencer eventually called for the guard, who noted that time was up anyway.

While she still had the chance, Trina wanted Spencer to know she was grateful for what he did since he had good intentions.

Spencer somberly told Trina goodbye before heading back to his cell. As other GH updates emerge, we’ll keep you posted.

General Hospital spoilers say Spencer and Trina still have a tough road ahead, but their future could be bright if they get on the same page.
