General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, September 12 Recap – Sonny Demands Ava’s Esme Confession – Cody & Selina’s Risky Deal

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, September 12, reveals that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) demanded Ava Jerome Cassadine’s (Maura West) Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) confession while Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) and Selina Wu (Lydia Look) struck a risky deal.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) had lunch with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and expressed concern about her continuing to be Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) manager while dating him.

Later, Ned spoke to Chase about the issue as well. There was talk about how Ned would hurt Chase if he hurt Brook Lynn – and that was on top of whatever Brook Lynn would do to him!

Chase understood and made a comment about how ruthless Brook Lynn could be as she eavesdropped nearby.

Once Brook Lynn caught up with Chase alone, he wondered if it was even worth it to go after Linc Brown (Dan Buran) now. Chase didn’t want to do anything to jeopardize their relationship, but Brook Lynn assured him that their plan wouldn’t and embraced him.

By the Metro Court pool, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) opened up to Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) about his fears regarding Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and how Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) may not have her best interests at heart.

Gregory also got updates on Liz’s repressed memories and thought maybe she just hadn’t been able to face what happened to her yet.

At GH, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) spoke to Liz about the stabbing investigation right as Nikolas popped up. Elizabeth ultimately cornered Nikolas in private to ask if the alibi he offered was about protecting her or him.

Nikolas defended the story he gave the cops and seemed offended over what Liz was implying. Although Liz didn’t really believe Nikolas was responsible for Ava’s stabbing, she could tell he was hiding something.

Nikolas thought Elizabeth was overreacting, so she admitted her life was out of control. Nikolas wanted to know how he could help and pulled Liz in for a hug – just in time for Finn to witness it.

Once they were alone, Liz brought Finn up to speed on her earlier conversation with Nik. Elizabeth reiterated that she didn’t actually think Nikolas was to blame, but she also felt she might need to come clean and tell the cops that she couldn’t account for her whereabouts.

In Ava’s room, Sonny knew something happened with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) and demanded answers about what it was.

Sonny couldn’t understand why Ava was protecting Nikolas and refused to let it stand if he hurt Avery Corinthos’ (Ava and Grace Scarola) mother. Ava assured Sonny that she wouldn’t stand for Nikolas hurting her either.

At The Savoy, Selina shut down the bartender’s warning that the place was closed and said it was open for her. Curtis was alerted to the situation over the phone, so he headed over to the nightclub.

In the meantime, Cody had a proposition for Selina to consider. Since Cody wanted to make some quick cash before leaving town, he suggested Selina could pay his $10,000 entry fee for the next poker game and he’d give her $15,000 on the backend.

Cody was certain he could influence the outcome, so Selina wanted him to follow her guidance on which players to help and which ones to hinder. Once Cody realized Selina was talking about more than one game, she pushed him to think it over – though she warned he shouldn’t take too long.

Cody then met with Dante to rant about all Mac Scorpio’s (John J. York) questions. Dante thanked Cody for doing him a solid in the past, so Cody said there was no need to mess up both their lives.

After Cody admitted he wanted to stick around Port Charles, Dante promised he wouldn’t let his buddy take the fall for Ava’s attack.

Once with Selina again, she faced backlash from Curtis since she was hanging around The Savoy. However, Selina offered a new audio board and mentioned Chase as an act that Curtis should book.

Ms. Wu also flashed back to her conversation with Sonny about Chase’s gig. Curtis seemed on edge over Selina’s behavior before getting a call about some bad news.

In Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper) office, Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) came clean about stealing the divorce papers and losing track of them. They were never filed, so Jordan was still married to Curtis.

Jordan blew up since Stella had no right to play God with her marriage, but Stella was just trying to help at the time. Stella insisted she never would’ve let it go on this long, but her stroke made things fuzzy until Curtis’ engagement triggered the memory.

When Curtis showed up, he questioned why Stella was in Jordan’s office and mentioned there was no record of the divorce. That left an irritated Curtis eager to find out what happened.

Back with Cody, he called Selina to give her an answer about their ongoing poker game arrangement. Cody decided he was in and struck the deal to be Selina’s ringer.
