General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) may plot to keep Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) incarcerated. Will a contraband discovery ruin Spencer’s release?
Ryan has some good reasons to keep Spencer locked up for as long as possible.
For starters, Ryan knows that Spencer is a distraction for Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl).
Although growing closer to Spencer and dating him has been an important part of their scheme, Esme and Ryan have entered a new phase.
Ryan pointed out that maybe they could use Spencer’s time locked up to their advantage, but Esme hasn’t had much of a chance to do that yet.
It’s true that Esme’s made a little progress in gaining Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) sympathy, but there’s more work to be done.
Esme would probably be more productive without the diversion of Spencer’s homecoming and all the “shallow co-ed shenanigans” that Ryan scolded her for.
We also know Ryan will spy on Spencer and Esme, so he might have a bit of a protective dad moment and decide Spencer should remain behind bars.
Whatever the case, GH spoilers for the week of March 21-25 could hint at Spencer’s prison stint getting extended.
Nikolas will prepare a special welcome home gathering for Spencer with Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) help, so that’ll involve some family dinner planning.
Meanwhile, Spencer will have a meeting he wasn’t expecting at Spring Ridge.
It’s possible Ryan will ask for a chat with Spencer and talk to him by having Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) relay what his blinks mean.
Of course, the real goal might be to keep Spencer busy while Esme or another minion plants contraband.
Soon after Spencer takes this meeting, he’ll be stunned by what he finds.
It’s easy to imagine Spencer returning to his cell and spotting a weapon or something else that’s illegal for him to have.
Spencer might try to get rid of it, but will he get busted anyway?
Ryan could make it so just when it looks like Spencer’s going home, he’s forced to stay at Spring Ridge or even face a transfer to Pentonville!
That could give Esme more time to work her magic on Nikolas without Spencer’s interference.
Esme has already been complaining to Nikolas about how hard it’s been with Spencer locked up.
Esme could turn on the waterworks if Spencer is forced to stay even longer and lean on Nikolas for support.
