General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) may steal Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) back from Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). Will jealousy lead to some couple shakeups in Port Charles?
GH fans know Sam and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) were moving along just fine until he asked her to live together.
That seemingly sent Sam into a tailspin and may become a major turning point for this duo.
Sam doesn’t love the idea of moving in Dante’s house since it still feels like Lulu Spencer’s (Emme Rylan) place, too.
Of course, Lulu remains in a coma – and Dante insisted whatever they shared as a couple was over anyway.
Even so, Sam is clearly battling some doubts about her current romance now that it’s getting serious.
Right after this conversation on the August 9 episode, Sam did something else that’s worth taking a closer look at.
Once Sam heard Drew laughing with Carly nearby, she snuck a peek at her former flame and his new love interest. Sam had a hint of longing in her eyes – and maybe even some jealousy mixed in.
Is there some part of Sam that wants to reunite with Drew? Sam has tried to convince herself that Dante is her future, but the pull in Drew’s direction seemingly remains.
At the very least, Sam might be wondering what could’ve been.
Drew is Scout Cain’s (Ella Ramacieri) father and is always going to be someone Sam cares about, so she might be envisioning what a “Dream” family reunion would’ve looked like.
Now that Drew is falling for Carly, the competition could be stirring up something in Sam’s heart.
Things may be shifting and causing Sam to question if she made the right choice to push Drew away.
Sam may end up asking herself if she should make her move with Drew before it’s too late.
Even if Sam resists the urge, she might battle the desire to recapture what they’ve lost.
Whatever happens, GH writers featured Sam’s pining gaze for a reason.
Drew and Sam’s love story may have another chapter left, so Sam just might steal him away from Carly down the road!
