General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, August 18, reveals that Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) recalled a staircase showdown to defend her dad while Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) had a fashion show.
At GH, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) popped in on Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner), who was there for an appointment to check on his nose.
Scott advised against trusting Cody Bell (Josh Kelly), but Britt made it clear that she’d make up her own mind and left him with Elizabeth.
After Scott filled Liz in on Cody’s family history, the topic of her parents came up.
Liz just wanted everyone to butt out of her business, including Scott. After Liz apologized for lashing out, she admitted to being sensitive right now.
Scott said something about Liz not talking to her mother and pushing her father away, so that triggered a memory later.
Once Liz was alone, she flashed to fighting with a woman near some stairs and ordering her to stay away from her father.
After Liz snapped back to the present, she realized she’d squeezed the glass tube was holding so hard that it shattered and cut her hand.
Once Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) cornered Britt, she found out about Cody’s family drama and how he punched Scott.
However, Maxie was adamant about Britt hearing Cody out and giving him a chance.
At the Quartermaine stables, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) got updates on Cody’s biological mother being Dominique Stanton (Shell Danielson).
Cody also confessed that scheming Katherine Bell (Mary Beth Evans) was his adoptive sister, but Olivia didn’t care about his scandalous family ties.
When Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) arrived, he questioned what else Cody might be hiding.
In private, Dante also pointed out that he never got a chance to thank Cody for what he did when they were at camp.
Once Britt appeared, she wondered what exactly Cody did. Cody covered by acting like he snuck Dante into the girls’ camp, but there was obviously a deeper story.
As for why Britt had tracked him down, Cody wondered if it was to call off their second date or give him another shot.
At the Metro Court pool, Chase praised Violet Finn’s (Jophielle Love) swimming skills and talked to Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) as well as Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) about his music career.
Before Chase left to meet Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), Gregory offered reassurance and a check to help between jobs.
Chase was reluctant to accept it, but Gregory insisted he could call it a loan and hugged his grateful son.
Later, Chase put on a fashion show at the Quartermaine mansion as Brook Lynn, Olivia, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) and Leo Falconeri (Easton Rocket Sweda) tried to help him nail down a new look.
Chase modeled disastrous wardrobe choices, but Ned ultimately found the right look for him with the help of some Eddie Maine original pants. As for Chase’s talent, Brook Lynn made it clear that she had faith in him.
Back with Finn, he opened up to Gregory about his Elizabeth problems. Gregory had already advised against contracting Liz’s parents and worried Finn could lose her if he ignored her wishes.
Finn admitted the thought of that was painful, but the most important thing to him was making sure Liz was OK.
At the Metro Court restaurant, things were tense as Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) joined Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) for a meal.
Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) interrupted briefly before Anna cornered her alone and demanded answers about Martin Grey’s (Michael E. Knight) location.
Since Lucy didn’t have details, Anna insisted Lucy would serve as a proxy and help her nail down what Valentin was hiding
Back with Valentin, he tried to assure Victor that Anna was no longer a threat, but Victor wasn’t convinced.
Before Lucy could board the elevator, she ran into Scott and learned he wanted to fill her in on Cody Bell. Once Lucy heard Cody’s last name, she was taken aback.
