General Hospital Spoilers: Thursday, February 17 Recap – Maxie’s Swiss Lipstick Message – Victor’s Wrong Tarot Card

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, February 17, reveals that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) left a lipstick message in Switzerland while Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) used the wrong tarot card. Here’s how Thursday’s GH action went down.

At the Metro Court, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) found Sasha Gilmore (Helena Mattsson) as she wrapped up a work call.

Brando felt they hadn’t really talked since Liam Corbin’s funeral, so Sasha admitted she’d been avoiding Brando.

Sasha acknowledged their different ways of grieving, but Brando insisted he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.

Brando said if they couldn’t be there for each other now, then he had to wonder what they were doing here.

Sasha never meant to hurt Brando, but she had to keep moving forward.

Brando assumed that meant he was a reminder of what Sasha had lost, but she offered reassurance. Sasha hoped to make sure Brando never doubted how she felt about him again.

At the hospital, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) worried about Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) working herself too hard as a distraction.

Liz acknowledged that it was a rough time due to her wedding anniversary and the anniversary of Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) death.

However, Liz said she already had a good cry and wanted to pick up extra shifts so Cameron Webber (William Lipton) could afford to live in the dorms.

After Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) comforted Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) and gave her Maxie’s earring, she interrupted Finn and Liz’s conversation.

Finn wished he’d been able to stop Peter, so Liz got uncomfortable and made herself scarce since she was an accomplice.

Anna implied that she knew Elizabeth had helped Finn and suggested Liz would be under her protection.

Finn and Anna reflected on when they used to be a family with Violet Finn (Jophielle Love), which brought Anna’s apology since sometimes her best wasn’t good enough.

Nevertheless, Finn gave Anna a pep talk and was rooting for her in her fight against Peter.

Meanwhile, Victor looked at a tarot card featuring the sun – not the tower card that had previously been used to activate Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).

Victor obviously thought he had the right one as he approached Drew on the pier with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco).

After Drew flashed the card and used the “you’re active” phrase, Drew asked if that was supposed to mean something to him.

Victor made up a bogus excuse about why he had the card and acted like he was merely handing it over for safekeeping.

Drew didn’t buy it and sent Sam away so he could threaten Victor in private. He insisted Victor literally drew the wrong card and roughed him up a bit.

Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) and Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) listened in on the confrontation through the planted bug, which ultimately fell off and got crushed while Drew barked at Victor.

Drew made it clear that Victor had better stay away from the people he cares about, so Victor said the message was received and understood.

Afterward, Victor ranted about that “sniveling weasel” Peter lying to him.

Victor also told his henchman that he’d been hoping to access some memories that were out of Drew’s reach.

Victor mentioned this being the key to his life’s work and suggested Drew knew the location of a long-buried Cassadine secret.

Victor said they’d just have to find a new way to track that location. Moments later, Victor discovered the destroyed listening device on the ground.

After Laura Collins (Genie Francis) got updates from Liesl and Austin at GH, she wondered what Victor wanted from Drew.

Laura thought this could involve the real reason Victor came back to Port Charles.

Back with Liz, another nurse handed over an envelope that was addressed to her.

Liz opened it and found a rather ominous-looking card, which suggested they were both thinking of Franco and was signed “B.”

The card visibly rattled Liz, who showed it to Finn.

Liz assumed Franco’s adoptive mother, Betsy Frank (Deborah Strang), was behind it and tried to downplay how unsettled she was.

In Peter’s car, he talked about boarding school and how it was perhaps the happiest time of his life until he met Maxie.

There was a cabin where the year-round students went in the summer, so Peter bought the estate under another name.

Peter assured Maxie the transaction was virtually untraceable and hoped maybe they could send for Louise August (London and Jett Prinzo-Berendt) if the estate was secure enough.

Peter wouldn’t tell Maxie the location, so she asked to stop at a restroom and promised not to run away.

Peter caved in, but he stood guard outside the bathroom at a rest stop.

Maxie used some old lipstick to write a message on the mirror, which said to call Anna for help in the USA and gave a phone number.

Maxie also left her earring behind, so a woman found all Maxie’s clues and indeed called Anna.

After Anna got the call, she reported back to everyone invested in the case.

Anna said they found Maxie and planned to catch a flight to Switzerland with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) as well as Drew.

Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) wanted to come, but Anna said she couldn’t look out for Felicia and help Maxie at the same time.

Anna advised Felicia to stay behind and warned to trust her on this.

As for Sam, she intended to stay in Port Charles and handle the Victor situation.

Anna also worried about Drew’s conditioning, but he trusted Anna to do what needed to be done if Peter somehow managed to reactivate him.

Back in the car, Peter assured Maxie that she wasn’t his prisoner.

Peter was apologetic about having to hover at the rest stop, but Maxie pretended she understood.

Peter looked forward to spending the rest of their lives together – ‘til death do them part.

Maxie later smirked a bit and thought she was really going to enjoy what was in her future.
