General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, December 14 Recap – Hook Grabs Rory – Spencer Decks Dex – Britt Leaves Brad Everything

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, December 14, reveals that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) spoke to Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) about everything being set for their meeting, but he gave Dex the afternoon off since he wouldn’t need him until tonight.

At the boxing gym, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) punched the bag until her knuckles were all messed up, so Nina sent Sonny for some ice.

Nina pushed Obrecht to reveal what was bothering her and promised she’d keep the secret, so Liesl admitted Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) had Huntington’s disease.

Sonny overheard Obrecht struggling to know how to handle this, so he said Liesl would find the strength since her daughter was going to need her.

Liesl lashed out at first, but Sonny brought up Mike Corbin’s (Max Gail) Alzheimer’s and how much their time together mattered toward the end.

Obrecht was touched over Sonny’s heartfelt words and gave him a hug before she left. Nina also offered Sonny her gratitude and planted a kiss.

In Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper) office, she gave Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) updates on someone in the community and felt he was a good cop because he cared.

When Rory mentioned bringing a guest to the Christmas party, Jordan smiled and assumed things were going well with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).

In Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) kitchen, Trina told Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) that Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) was out of prison and derailed her three-month anniversary dinner with Rory.

After bringing up Rory’s love declaration, Trina suggested it was too soon.

Josslyn suspected Trina’s feelings for Spencer were holding her back, so Trina acknowledged that part of her woke up when she was around him.

Once Josslyn recalled kissing Dex, she got what Trina meant.

Trina had fun with Rory, but she wondered if that was enough – or if it was even fair to stay with Rory when she didn’t feel the same way.

Trina also mentioned that she’d agreed to meet Rory’s parents at a casual holiday thing, but that was before Rory’s love profession and Spencer’s return.

Although Trina claimed she didn’t want Spencer, Josslyn insisted Trina did.

Trina reluctantly admitted it, but she hated the thought of Spencer costing her a relationship with Rory, too.

The timing also wasn’t great since Trina didn’t want to break up with Rory at Christmastime, but Josslyn warned that Cam needed to know the truth.

Joss then corrected herself and claimed she meant Rory, who could decide for himself about the relationship once Trina revealed she didn’t feel the same.

If Trina wanted the potential for something real with Rory, she had to be upfront about not being on the same page.

At Kelly’s, Spencer caught up with Cameron Webber (William Lipton) now that he was out of Pentonville early.

After they talked about Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) and all the hook suspicions, Cameron learned Spencer was stuck at Wyndemere for the remainder of his sentence.

Cam wondered what was next for Spencer, so he hinted about going on vacation.

It annoyed Cameron as he asked if Spencer was just going to bail for Europe, but Spencer didn’t think anything was keeping him there.

When Dex arrived, Cameron grumbled and made him wait on having his order taken.

That gave Cam a chance to tell Spencer how Josslyn came to Dex’s rescue after Sonny detained him.

Whatever went down made Josslyn hate Sonny even more according to Cameron.

Cameron eventually took Dex’s cheeseburger order before Spencer introduced himself.

Since Dex worked for Spencer’s uncle, Spencer insisted Dex worked for him, too. Dex said that was news to him, but Spencer felt Dex would be wise to follow orders.

When Josslyn showed up with some stuff for the toy drive, she joined Cameron inside. Josslyn fumed as she overheard Spencer warning Dex to stay away from her.

Dex decided he should leave, but Spencer insisted he’d better pay for the food he ordered.

After Dex pulled out a wad of bills and noted that Sonny paid him well, Spencer decked him and left Josslyn stunned.

Back with Jordan, she let Rory stay to hear the lab results in the hook investigation.

The venom on the hook came from a highly venomous semi-aquatic snake from the South Asian islands.

You have to smuggle those out, so there were about five hits of smugglers in the Port Charles area.

Rory noted that “The Hook” hadn’t been active and hoped maybe she was done, but Jordan thought it was premature to say that since serial killers rarely stop on their own.

Dante insisted “The Hook” must be stopped and let Rory take the file out to his desk.

Once he was outside Jordan’s office, Rory stopped to take a picture of the file info using his phone.

Next on Wednesday’s GH episode, Rory followed one of the apartment leads and found the door ajar as he shouted that the PCPD was there.

Suddenly, someone yanked Rory inside and slammed the door shut.

Since Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) was struggling over Austin Gatlin Holt’s (Roger Howarth) deception, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) listened and said he wasn’t the right guy to offer relationship advice.

Once Cody talked about botching things with Britt for good, he wondered if Maxie wanted to forgive Austin.

Maxie was uncertain since she was terrified Austin might not be the person she thought he was.

Cody argued that when you like someone, it’s natural to lie and show off the best version of yourself.

Maxie insisted that eventually you have to open up and show who you really are – though Cody didn’t think anyone wanted the real him.

After Maxie said that was a cop-out, she got Cody to admit he genuinely liked Britt. Maxie didn’t think Cody should give up and suggested Britt just needed time.

Once Britt roped Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) into helping with her birthday bash, the topic of her lawyer came up.

Britt confessed this was about her will and added that she was leaving everything to Brad, who was her sole beneficiary.

Brad was concerned, but Britt acted like she just wanted to be prepared.

The news touched Brad, who shared an emotional embrace with Britt before she dropped her phone.

Britt blamed it on overworking her arm while exercising before Brad brought up the party again.

Since Britt normally didn’t care about her birthday, he didn’t get why this celebration was such a big deal.

Britt wanted to be more than the woman who fell in the Metro Court pool or the sucker who got taken in by Cody’s con.

This party was so everyone could see Britt in all her glory, so Brad thought he understood.

General Hospital spoilers say Britt’s grim prognosis may leak to other PC residents soon, so stay tuned to ABC’s GH.
