General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, June 1, reveals that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) fell in the pool after a mystery man’s skydive. Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) also lost the Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver) and was banned from seeing her grandson, so here’s how Wednesday’s drama played out.
At the Society Setups event, Britt got increasingly drunk while interacting with everyone. Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) mentioned how things didn’t work out with Chet Driscoll (Chris Van Etten), so Britt thought it was typical for life to offer something and snatch it away!
Meanwhile, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) gave Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) a heads-up on Michael Corinthos (temporarily played by Robert Adamson) potentially using ELQ to go after Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Despite Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) efforts to figure out what Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) was hiding, he wasn’t quite ready to reveal his new thing yet.
Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) were all lovey-dovey as they made hiding plans, so Britt was disgusted and wound up making a big drunken scene mocking love.
Suddenly, a plane could be heard overhead. A mystery man parachuted down and crashed into Britt – sending them both flying into the pool. The guy seemed pleased over his grand entrance, but wet Britt most certainly was not!
After Michael texted Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) about the judge’s ruling, Carly headed back to the courtroom and seemed nervous over the DNA results. GH fans later saw that Carly read them before leaving the hospital – and the results confirmed Nina was Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) mother.
As for the judge’s decision, she was particularly appalled over how Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) bent the truth regarding Michael during his time on the stand. Nina learned her petition for visitation was denied, so Michael and Willow were relieved.
When Nina tried to grovel to Willow for time with Wiley anyway, Willow shut her down. Carly later fished for Willow’s true feelings on the matter and got confirmation that she wanted Nina out of all their lives.
Carly flashed back to when she looked at those results and faced questions from Michael about the opened envelope. Michael hoped it wasn’t bad news and awaited Carly’s updates along with Willow – just as Drew walked in.
In the cemetery, Nina visited Nelle Benson’s (Chloe Lanier) grave to cry over her failure and wonder what she was going to do next.
At the shooting range, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) made a bet with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and wanted dinner with her if he won. After they fired shots for target practice, Anna was the clear winner and surprised Valentin by giving him the whole evening with her.
At Wyndemere, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) pulled back from his kiss with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) and let her know she was sorry. Esme wasn’t sorry at all and pulled Nikolas back in for more passion.
After Esme locked the door, things escalated quickly. The clothes came off as Esme and Nikolas had a steamy session – though Nikolas couldn’t believe he’d done that in the aftermath.
Esme assured Nikolas that she’d been battling desires for a while now and said Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) didn’t have to know. That led to Esme kissing Nikolas once again.
Meanwhile, Spencer saw that Esme’s suitcase was downstairs and wondered where she was. Esme didn’t text back as Spencer ate a sandwich and messaged Cameron Webber (William Lipton) for groveling tips.
Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) showed up looking for Nikolas and warned Spencer that he wouldn’t get his first allowance payment until the move-out with Esme was official.
After Ava and Spencer searched together, Spencer found Esme’s jacket on the floor. Nikolas and Esme looked stunned when they realized Ava and Spencer were right outside the door.
