General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, November 16 Recap – Sonny Investigates Carly’s Affair - Esme Loses Consciousness

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, November 16, reveals that Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) was unconscious after a medical disaster – or at least she wanted it to look that way. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) also investigated Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) affair, so let’s talk about how things went down.

At the Metro Court, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) finished watching Carly go inside Brick’s (Stephen A. Smith) hotel room and reluctantly filled Sonny in. Sonny confronted Brick a little later, but Brick assured Sonny that nothing inappropriate happened.

Although Brick was willing to reveal the favor Carly asked, he admitted he’d prefer to keep his word to Carly. Sonny accepted that answer, but Brick could tell he didn’t like it.

Nina worried about stirring up trouble, but Sonny acted like Carly needed to respect boundaries as much as he did. That said, Sonny seemed satisfied that Brick was telling the truth and that there was no affair.

At the Quartermaine gatehouse, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) suggested interviewing people at the commune for an Aurora human interest story, which would help get the word out.

Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) hoped to track down her biological family as soon as possible.

Drew reflected on his own search for answers about his past and thought he understood Willow’s sense of urgency.

After Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda) gave Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) the phone he found, Michael saw that it was dead and ultimately charged it so they could find the owner.

That led to Michael realizing it belonged to Dex, so he wondered why Dex’s phone was there and where he was now.

In Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) dorm room, Dex remained delirious and flirty.

Josslyn took Dex’s temperature and couldn’t understand why he put up with Sonny’s mistreatment, but Dex had his reasons.

Dex didn’t get why Josslyn kept sticking her neck out for a total stranger, but she suggested they weren’t really strangers now.

As they tried to get to know each other better, Dex reflected on rooting for the George Bulldogs since he had a buddy in his unit who loved them.

That buddy was killed in action, so Dex cheered for the Bulldogs since his friend no longer could.

Josslyn seemed touched over the story and shared a close moment with Dex as she tried to sit him up for some water.

Once Carly arrived, Dex expressed his gratitude for the antibiotics she brought.

Josslyn gave Dex his meds and hoped his fever would break soon.

Carly questioned why Josslyn was willing to this far out on a limb for Dex, but Joss argued that they bonded after saving Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) life.

After Carly offered another Esme-related warning, she hinted that Esme wasn’t the only threat.

However, Carly knew that Josslyn was stubborn and would continue to help Dex despite the risks of whatever he was caught up in.

At Wyndemere, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) told Esme to pack her belongings and planned an island trip for her.

Esme suddenly doubled over in pain and insisted she needed help for the baby, but Nikolas doubted she was in real distress.

Nevertheless, Nikolas decided to call Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) just in case and left her a voicemail asking for help.

Esme kept screaming like she was in agony, but Nikolas warned that if she wasn’t in real pain now – she would be soon!

At GH, Liz noticed Jeff Webber’s (William Moses) busted lip and faced off with him over all his terrible past decisions.

Jeff felt that admitting the truth in Monterey was the right thing to do, even if Liz never forgave him or Carolyn Webber (Denise Crosby).

Although Elizabeth wasn’t the same person her parents sent away, Jeff wanted a chance to get to know who she is now – though he refused to push.

Before Jeff left, he said he hoped he hadn’t ruined things for Liz and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton).

Once Finn returned from the lab, he got updates on Liz’s Esme run-in and mild concussion.

Finn was glad that Elizabeth wasn’t seriously hurt, so Liz said she wished Reiko Finn (Mele Ihara) hadn’t been.

Elizabeth assumed Finn couldn’t be with her anymore and didn’t blame him after everything that happened.

Finn suggested that neither of them would forget what they’d been through, but that didn’t mean they had nothing to talk about.

Although Finn seemed open to working through this, Liz had to answer Nikolas’ call since he became so relentless.

Elizabeth heard some news over the phone and told Nik she’d be right there, but Finn grew frustrated when she couldn’t divulge what was going on.

Liz assured Finn that she wanted to finish this conversation, so he said he really wanted to believe that was true.

Once Elizabeth expressed how sorry she was, she took off and left Finn annoyed over all the secrecy.

Back at Wyndemere, Nikolas told Liz about what he assumed was Esme’s fake crisis.

Even so, Nikolas wasn’t willing to take chances with his unborn child, so Liz agreed to examine Esme just this once.

When Elizabeth entered with Nikolas, Esme was seemingly unconscious after collapsing on the floor.

General Hospital spoilers say Liz and Nikolas will disagree about how to handle Esme as the drama heats up, so stay tuned!
