General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, October 12 Recap – Esme Held Prisoner – Nik’s Drastic Hostage Solution

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, October 12, reveals that Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) was held prisoner in the storage wing, so Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) came up with a drastic hostage solution.

At Wyndemere on Wednesday’s GH episode, Esme had Nikolas feel her baby bump to prove it was real.

Esme insisted this wasn’t some trick; it was her get-out-of-jail-free card.

Nikolas wanted a paternity test, so Esme said she would take one as long as it didn’t harm their baby.

After Nikolas made himself a drink, he warned that Esme was still screwed and going to prison.

However, Esme declared she wouldn’t set foot behind bars and added that Nikolas was going to make sure of it.

That led to Esme demanding an expensive attorney who could get her off the hook or else she’d go to Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West).

In Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) new suite, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) urged him to take his phone call while she freshened up.

While Lucy stood out of sight and tried to eavesdrop, Victor asked Deputy Chief Eileen Ashby (Heather Mazur) what the problem was.

Eileen revealed that she caught Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) conferring with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and knew they were still investigating Luke Spencer’s (Anthony Geary) death.

Lucy picked up the phone in the other room and realized the deputy mayor was the one feeding Victor information.

Johann (Max Decker) grew concerned when he came back and realized Victor had changed suites, but he checked for listening devices and let Lucy go.

Soon after, Victor noticed the phone was slightly out of place and was disappointed to find Lucy’s strawberry lip balm on it.

Once Lucy met up with Anna and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) in the park, they informed her that they deactivated the bug so it wouldn’t be detected.

Lucy revealed that the deputy mayor was the one on the other line and didn’t seem like she would listen when she was told her work was done.

At Kelly’s, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) apologized for missing Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) reception and learned Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) didn’t make it either.

That left Cameron wondering why, but Joss offered a vague excuse.

Cameron wound up complaining about not remembering the last time they were alone.

After Cam pointed out that they hadn’t slept together since their first time at the cabin, Josslyn asked if that was a problem. Cameron admitted it kind of was.

Although Cam was fine waiting, he just needed to know if he did something wrong. Josslyn reassured Cameron, but she felt that Esme had tainted things.

Cameron insisted there was no rush before they assured each other they were each other’s favorite person.

At Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer) place, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) praised him for his performance and felt they had Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) right where they wanted him.

Dex told Michael that he was all in, but he worried about Michael risking his relationship with his siblings.

Michael argued that Sonny needed to be neutralized – whether that meant prison time or forcing him to leave the country. Despite knowing this would hurt his siblings, Michael was adamant about stopping Sonny.

Dex knew it wouldn’t be easy to keep Josslyn in the dark, but Michael suggested Dex should show her that he wasn’t worthy of protection.

Back at Kelly’s, Michael arrived to get some sweet potato pie for Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) since she was craving it.

Once Cam stepped away, Josslyn griped about Dex’s loyalty to Sonny, but Michael just wanted her to stay away from that guy.

While Michael took a call from Willow, Cameron returned with the pie and was surprised when Josslyn took off in a hurry.

Michael found out about Josslyn leaving soon after and assumed this was about Dex, so he filled Cam in on the whole Carver situation and Dex’s rescue.

Cameron was horrified, so Michael thought it was best to keep Josslyn as far away from Dex as possible.

In Sonny’s office, Ava said she needed to talk to him before Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) ended up dead.

Sonny got updates on Oz Haggerty (Max Faugno) getting hooked and the Trina connection most of the victims had.

Talk turned to Brando’s funeral before Sonny admitted Michael stabbed him in the back.

Sonny revealed that Michael tried to have him arrested, but Dex covered for him. Although Sonny still wanted a way to make things right with Michael, Ava insisted he couldn’t and should stop trying.

People get divorced all the time, so Ava felt that Michael was a grown man who needed to get over it. As long as Michael was stuck on revenge, Sonny knew nothing would change his mind.

Sonny assured Ava that he’d have someone look after Trina until the attacker was caught.

When Sonny learned Ava was planning on moving back to Wyndemere soon, he was appalled.

Before Ava left, she told Sonny how wonderful it was to mentor Trina and suggested it was good for Sonny to mentor Dex, too.

Back at Dex’s place, he got an earful from Josslyn about his loyalty to Sonny.

Josslyn warned Dex not to call her the next time he wound up on a meat hook and left in a huff.

Outside Dex’s door, Josslyn got a text from Cameron, who wanted to meet after his shift and said it was important.

Meanwhile, Sonny summoned Dex to his office so they could discuss his future.

In Jacksonville, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) bickered with Peyton Honeycutt (Linda Purl) ahead of the guild meeting.

Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) piped up in support of Carly, so Peyton commented on her guard dog.

Once the meeting was called to order, Carly made a speech about Sandy Shores Cemetery being a vital part of Jacksonville history.

Carly talked about her adoptive mom before pushing the guild not to pave over Jacksonville’s heart with this parkway.

After the public portion of the meeting was over, Carly wondered about the vote and learned it’d be conducted in private.

The results would be posted on the website later, but Carly worried to Drew that her efforts might not be enough.

Back at Wyndemere, Esme thought Nikolas was delusional for thinking Ava would forgive him, especially after she got the baby news. Nikolas decided Esme was right as the wheels started turning.

Esme briefly wondered if Nikolas planned to kill her, but he suggested he needed her to stay out of sight until he could arrange a lawyer.

Nikolas took Esme to the storage wing since not even the staff went down there, so Esme complained about the dust and lack of Internet.

As Nikolas left, he locked the door and left Esme frantically demanding that he let her out.

Even if Esme wasn’t behind the attacks, Nikolas felt she was still dangerous. Esme fumed as Nikolas walked away and left her locked up as his new prisoner.

General Hospital spoilers say Esme will have to figure out a way out of her latest jam, so stay tuned!
