General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, September 7, reveals that Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) got updates on a mysterious patient that was headed to GH while Mac Scorpio (John J. York) faced a DNA test decision.
First, it was moving day for Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Rocco Falconeri (Finn Francis Carr). Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) helped move boxes into Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) penthouse before Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) arrived with a warm welcome and a lasagna.
Sonny spoke to Cody alone about Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), who was strange but a good guy. Since Sonny made it clear that he didn’t want any drama for Spinelli, Cody assured the mob boss there’d be no issues.
At the hospital, Mac had questions about the night of Ava Jerome Cassadine’s (Maura West) attack and ended up quizzing Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) about Cody. Britt could tell there was a deeper reason and suspected this related to Dominique Stanton (Shell Danielson).
After Austin got called away for an appointment, he realized Mason (Nathanyael Grey) was the one who booked it. Austin acted like Mason might’ve gone after Ava and asked if he was there to finish the job.
Mason denied being the stabber and ultimately mentioned a patient that Austin would need to take a personal interest in next week. Austin refused to take orders, but Mason didn’t think that was wise.
Britt interrupted and remembered Mason from open mic night on The Haunted Star, so Austin introduced her to his cousin. Afterward, Britt called Austin out for acting like Mason was a stranger before, but she understood when Austin said he sometimes wished Mason wasn’t family.
By the Metro Court pool, Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) took over for the pool boy and applied Lucy Coe’s (Lynn Herring) sunscreen. Lucy got uncomfortable and felt it was best to keep their relationship public, but Victor convinced her to at least have a business lunch with him.
However, Victor grabbed Lucy by the arm before she left and reminded her it wasn’t a good idea to waste his time – professional or otherwise.
By Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) vandalized grave, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) met with Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) and requested his little black book of all contacts.
Robert learned this was about taking down Victor and wanted to help, but Anna had to keep him out of this – though he agreed to provide the contacts she was seeking.
Later, Lucy complained to Anna about the worsening situation with Victor, but Anna was confident that Lucy could get all the info she needed without betraying Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight).
At the Port Charles Grill, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) met with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) hoping for The Invader’s help. The goal was to get the attention off the Cassadines in the press.
Alexis knew Valentin was working on Victor’s orders and struggled to understand his newfound sense of family loyalty. When Charlotte Cassadine’s (Amelia McLain) name came up, Valentin admitted to missing her and hinted that would change soon.
Back with Sonny, he also arrived at the Port Charles Grill and sat across from Victor later. Once Victor said it was nice of Sonny to join him, Sonny flashed a sly smile.
At the penthouse again, Sam told Dante that she wanted this to feel like his home, too. Dante and Sam shared some sweet moments as they celebrated taking this big step together.
At Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) place, she learned from Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) that Mac was likely Cody’s biological father.
Mac eventually showed up and joined the conversation of how it was possible, but he was uncertain about whether he wanted to get DNA test to confirm anything. Before Mac blew Cody’s world apart, he wanted to know more about him.
At the hospital, Britt saw Cody and questioned what kind of trouble he’d gotten into this time. Cody learned that Mac had been there asking questions about him.
