General Hospital Spoilers: Week of August 29 Update – Dex’s Setback – Carly & Drew Decide – Ava Investigation

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for the week of August 29-September 2 teases that Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) will face a setback while Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) decide their next move. Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) will also launch an Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) investigation, so here’s what GH viewers can expect.

At the Quartermaine residence, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will lash out at Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), who’ll still be there dropping off desserts for the picnic.

After Joss reminds Nina that Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver) is off-limits, she’ll kick Nina out of the house.

It looks like Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) may come along and witness the end of Josslyn’s outburst.

Sonny will grow increasingly irritated with the treatment Nina keeps receiving, so he’ll try to put a stop to it – or at least lessen the severity.

Of course, no one will be having a worse night than Ava, who got stabbed with a hook out of nowhere.

Ava will writhe on the ground in pain, but thankfully Josslyn will find Ava in time to make sure she gets to the hospital.

Even so, Ava will struggle to survive this brutal attack. There’ll be plenty of questions and suspects to tackle, so Jordan will launch an investigation into what happened.

Sonny will seek answers of his own and will grow quite suspicious of Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) as well as Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy).

There’ll also be suspicions between Victor and hungover Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez), so they’ll throw some deadly accusations at each other.

Ava’s attack will send shockwaves through Port Charles and leave several PC residents facing grilling sessions at the PCPD.

People will no doubt be interrogated about what they might’ve seen and heard.

Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) may worry Mason (Nathanyael Grey) is to blame, but he’ll be in a tight spot when it comes to revealing any information.

Speaking of revealing information, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will ultimately be willing to talk.

After Liz and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) discuss the problems in their romance, they’ll mull over the trauma in her past.

Elizabeth may admit she’s not certain of what the flashbacks mean just yet.

Although Liz’s memories are still rather confusing, she may fear she killed that other young woman by hurling her down the stairs.

Over with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), she’ll play matchmaker for Carly and Drew.

Brook Lynn may play up how great it is to be moving forward in her relationship with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and push Drew to do the same with Carly.

Drew will have a lot to sort out when it comes to his complicated connection to Carly, so it’s a good thing Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) will lend an ear.

Next, Carly will rethink a choice she’s made. Does that mean Carly will rethink pumping the brakes with Drew – or will she rethink the romance itself?

Drew will be quite interested to know where Carly’s head is at.

While Drew and Carly decide what’s ahead, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) will get into a heated argument.

Scott Baldwin(Kin Shriner) pushed for a guardianship as a strategy to avoid putting Sasha through a trial, but she’s not going to like it.

After Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) makes a big discovery, she’ll have an important conversation with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).

That’ll bring an agreement from Valentin and Anna, so we’ll see if they can find a path to honesty.

Back with Jordan, she’ll put Victor through an interrogation – most likely related to Ava’s hook attack.

We’ll also see Spencer have a horrifying nightmare, which could involve guilty fears that he might be responsible.

Finally, Dex will deal with a setback that leaves him disappointed.

Sonny may not trust Dex enough to help with a significant project or two, so that could leave Dex feeling a bit defeated.
