General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) mystery illness may reveal a genetic twist and cause Harmony Miller’s (Inga Cadranel) bio mom lie to be exposed. The March 31 episode offered some intriguing clues about where the storyline might be headed, so let’s talk about those.
For starters, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) picked up on the fact that Willow was tired and seemed concerned about her. Since Willow was recently hospitalized after that collapse at GH, it’s easy to see the potential for some deeper issue here.
Willow downplayed her tiredness since she’s been studying hard lately. She also assured Michael that she’d learned her lesson about skipping meals and was taking better care of herself. Michael didn’t know what he’d do if anything happened to Willow, so he teased her about not making him find out.
Of course, all of that could add up to a situation where something is indeed wrong with Willow. Could this lay the groundwork for a big reveal?
Michael also made an interesting comment after Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) tried to lobby for Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) to spend time with Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver). Since Michael thought Harmony was showing compassion like Willow, he suggested maybe it was genetic.
Naturally, GH fans know that’s not the case since Harmony isn’t Willow’s biological mother. Even so, we have to wonder if maybe that genetic hint will come into play another way. There may be an underlying genetic medical condition that caused Willow’s collapse – one that could lead to a far scarier crisis.
Willow might be hospitalized again down the road, especially after the stress of the looming Wiley court battle takes a toll.
Once Willow is potentially admitted to GH again, perhaps some tests will reveal a genetic illness. There might be some way to rule Harmony out as a bio mom candidate based on bloodwork or whatever condition Willow has inherited.
This might even lead to Nina stepping up and saving the day. If some life-saving donation is needed, Nina may be in the position to help as Willow’s actual bio mom.
