In tonight’s Magnum P.I. episode, a man went to a bar in Wisconsin. He met a woman. They had drinks. They danced and that was the last thing he remembered before he woke up in Hawaii covered in blood. He doesn’t know where the blood came from. He doesn’t even know how he made it to Hawaii. He needed help and Magnum and Higgins came highly recommended. Magnum had been talking to Rick about developing feelings for Higgins. He was wondering his friend what would happen if they do cross that line. Was he going to lose a friend? A partner? Was he risking everything only to find out what he had with Higgins wasn’t real or lasting? Magnum didn’t know.

Magnum just knew that he was feeling something right now. He didn’t know if he should pursue it and so this new case sorta forced the issue because it made Magnum work with Higgins. The job almost came too late. Magnum went to go talk to Higgins alone. They were talking about Higgins’s plans for the day. She said she had a picnic scheduled with Cole. She implied that they had moved on from texting and were tentatively seeing where things go when they heard the front gate buzz. Someone was literally at their front door. It was the man from Wisconsin there asking for help His name is Greg. He later told them the whole story.

Everything he remembered. He also asked for their help missing together what he couldn’t recall. It wasn’t long before Magnum and Higgins came to a conclusion about what they heard. They believe that their client was drugged with a voodoo drug that allows him to be awake, but highly suggestible at the same time. He basically did everything this woman said and it’s clear this woman drugged him not to rob him. She did what she could to force him to come to Hawaii. The question left was why? Greg didn’t have any connections to Hawaii. He was also covered in blood by a criminal named Trevor Lyttle.

The two of them showed Greg a picture of Trevor. He remembered the face. Greg remembered that he was fighting Trevor and that Trevor had his hands around Greg’s throat. He was going to kill himself. Only somehow Greg had gotten his hands on Trevor’s gun. He managed to shoot Trevor. He didn’t kill him. He just shot off his ear and ran away. This happened after the car accident. Greg remembers being in a car with both Trevor and the mystery woman from the bar. The one that drugged him. She was arguing with Greg. Trying to get him to give her something when the car went off the road. And Greg was left with bruises from the seatbelt.

Greg didn’t know what he had. He didn’t even know why they brought him to Hawaii. But Magnum and Higgins realized why he was targeted. They looked into it. Greg was used to accessing a safety deposit box on the island. It was something he had access to thanks to his grandfather. Greg hadn’t seen his grandfather since he was a boy. His dad and gramps had a falling out. Maybe it had something to do with all the adventures that gramps took a young Greg on. Like letting him ride a motorcycle. Helping him cut school for a fun day at the beach. Greg had a lot of adventures and he cut that out after his gramps left.

Greg went on to live a very safe life. He works fifty hours a week. He never left Wisconsin. His adventure to Hawaii was new. The private investigators took Greg to his grandpa’s house on the island and unfortunately they found gramps had been murdered. Possibly by the duo that kidnapped Greg. At this point, the guys had to call the police. It was an active homicide case. Gordo was called. He told them all about Greg’s grandfather. The grandfather had been a jewel thief back in the day and it was reported he stole a rather large diamond in Europe. His partner for that job had died. Just not before he told his daughter Chloe who hooked up with Trevor to get the diamond.

The two were still on the island. They were looking for Greg again. Greg had apparently swallowed the diamond while he was in the car and so the bad guys wanted to cut it out of him. Greg had gone to the hospital because he was suffering from stomach pains. Magnum and Higgins thought it could be internal damage from the car accident. They sent Kumu to take him to the hospital, but Greg was abducted from the hospital by gunpoint and HPD had later found Trevor and Chloe about to cut him open in a motel room. Trevor was killed when he tried to fight back. Chloe was taken alive. And Greg returned to the hospital where he had the diamond surgical removed.

He could have let it pass naturally only it was a rather large diamond and it would have been a struggle.

Cade meanwhile heard from his grandmother that he never knew about. It turns out his family was alerted when it went on record his mother died and that’s when they found out she had a son. They wanted to get to know Cade. They wanted him to come live with them. And Cade already had a family, but he was willing to go out and meet his biological family on a visit.

THE END!
