The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Caroline Spencer’s (Linsey Godfrey) return is desperately needed right about now. Should B&B bring Douglas Forrester’s (Django Ferri) bio mom back from the dead?
There’s certainly been talk about Caroline lately and how her sudden death left Hope Spencer (Annike Noelle) to become Douglas’ fill-in mother.
Hope adopted Douglas and stepped up as his legal mom, but it’s so easy to think about the juicy drama that might result if Caroline returned alive.
Caroline supposedly passed away after complications relating to a blood clot, but there’s no real proof of that since her body was never shown on screen.
There was a small memorial service for Caroline, but she was written out in a hurry without much thought or care behind the exit.
It seemed like a shame to kill Caroline off out of nowhere like that, so some viewers have always been a bit bitter about her departure.
Although Linsey Godfrey is playing Sarah Horton at Days of Our Lives now, the character of Caroline could live on if B&B chooses to recast.
If Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) had something to do with Caroline’s death and she’s been in hiding all this time, that’d be even better.
Thomas was awfully manipulative and completely obsessed with Hope back then, so we wouldn’t put anything past him in that fractured mental state.
Then again, it’d be simple for the show to blame someone else for taking Caroline hostage and throwing her into captivity.
In situations like this, the explanation itself is less important than getting the desired character back on canvas.
Regardless, it’d be a total game-changer if Douglas’ biological mother suddenly showed up alive.
Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) has pointed out that Caroline would still be around if she could, so it’d be an exciting twist if Caroline was alive and finally escaped whatever nightmare she’s ben stuck in.
How would Hope, Thomas and Douglas handle Caroline’s surprise comeback? Should the show recast Caroline and make her part of the drama once again?
