The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, August 8, reveals that Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) refused to apologize to Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) while Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) made a photo confession. Let’s talk about how all the B&B drama went down.
At the cliff house, Steffy was eager for John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) to see a doctor, which he acknowledged was for the best.
When Li arrived, Finn gushed over how his mom saved him and never gave up.
Finn then mentioned his imminent doctor’s appointment, which Steffy wanted to attend with him.
However, Finn assured Steffy that he’d be fine alone and headed out.
Once Finn was gone, Steffy thanked Li for keeping her husband alive. “That being said…what the hell, Li?!” Steffy angrily blurted out.
Steffy launched a tirade about how Li could’ve erased her family’s pain.
As Finn’s wife, Steffy felt she deserved to know Finn survived – and she pointed out how this affected the kids, too.
Li admitted she was worried when Finn joined a family that was always swept up in the tabloids.
Considering what happened, Li felt she was right to be concerned.
If it hadn’t been for Steffy and the Forresters, Li suggested Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) never would’ve reentered Finn’s life.
Steffy wondered if Li was lying about her support at the wedding, but Li insisted she wasn’t.
Since Finn adored Steffy, Li was happy that he’d found someone to fulfill him.
Even so, Li confessed that maybe part of her blamed Steffy and the Forresters.
Plus, Li couldn’t afford the distraction – and she figured Steffy would’ve made her take Finn back to the same doctors who left Finn for dead anyway.
The odds were slim, so Li didn’t see getting Steffy’s hopes up until she was certain of anything. Li argued that she would’ve said something once Finn was stable.
As for an apology, Li made it clear that she wouldn’t be giving one of those to Steffy or anyone else.
When it came to doing whatever it took to save her son, Li refused to apologize for that.
At the cabin, Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) filled Liam Spencer (Annika Noelle) in on her selfie blunder and worried she might’ve made trouble in Brooke Forrester’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) relationship.
Liam understood that Hope didn’t mean harm, but he also got why Brooke would be on edge.
Since Ridge had been traveling with Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) and bonding with her over Steffy, it wasn’t a good idea for him to get reminders of his marriage problems.
At Brooke’s place, Ridge was distracted thinking about his kiss with Taylor in Monaco.
Brooke assumed this was about the selfie that Hope posted instead, so Ridge confessed that he saw it.
Although Ridge didn’t like it, he thought they should leave it at that.
Ridge wanted to concentrate on Steffy’s bliss, so Brooke couldn’t imagine the euphoria he must be feeling along with Taylor right now.
Once Ridge left, Hope and Liam stopped by the house looking for updates.
Brooke admitted Ridge saw the photo of her with Hope and Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan), but she didn’t think it would be a big issue.
Nevertheless, Brooke wasn’t being naïve and knew she needed to remain cautious.
Although Ridge moved back in to take care of Brooke, he wasn’t fully recommitted yet.
At Forrester Creations, Taylor talked to Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) about what happened with Steffy in Monaco, so Thomas felt they all had some hope going forward.
Once Taylor flashed back to her kiss with Ridge, she thought Thomas was right.
Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) showed up next and was thrilled for Steffy.
Ridge also joined the conversation as they acknowledged the questions that remained about Li’s secret plan.
Once Taylor and Ridge were alone, they wound up discussing their trip.
Ridge said he’d never forget what happened in Monaco, so Taylor suggested what they experienced made her think anything is possible.
