The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, January 17, teases that Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) stole another kiss from Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) while Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) warned Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) about her no-show mother.
At Brooke’s place on Monday’s B&B episode, she insisted she didn’t want to know how Deacon felt about her. Brooke just wanted Deacon to leave, but he didn’t buy that.
Deacon thought Brooke was just afraid of what might happen if he stayed. He argued there was more to their kiss than alcohol – something chemical and magical like all those years ago.
Deacon talked about a force pushing them together and suggested they might never be in control again.
Brooke felt everything that went down on New Year’s Eve was a mistake, but Deacon kept at it.
Deacon wondered how many times Brooke would ride this emotional merry-go-round with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), especially with Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) back in town.
Deacon thought it’d be amazing for Hope if her parents were together, but Brooke maintained that she loved Ridge and wanted a life with him.
Brooke declared that if Ridge found out what happened with Deacon, he would leave her – and she refused to let that happen.
At Forrester Creations, Steffy and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) complained to Ridge about Deacon slithering his way back into Hope’s life.
Thomas acknowledged that Deacon was Hope’s father, but he wondered why Brooke was treating Deacon like he still mattered to her, too.
Ridge declared that Brooke was his wife and nothing was going to change that, but Steffy pointed out that Hope was being awfully territorial.
Steffy knew something was going on – and there was no doubt in Thomas’ mind either.
Ridge felt his relationship could handle anything and argued that there were no disagreements with Brooke right now.
Ridge had more respect for Brooke than ever due to her strength and honesty.
Talk eventually turned to Brooke not showing up for the meeting she set at work.
Ridge continued to stonewall Steffy and Thomas before going home to check on Brooke.
Meanwhile, Brooke got a text about Ridge’s imminent homecoming. She warned Deacon to leave, so he decided he would – though he was done denying his feelings.
Deacon assured Brooke that he loved her and that nothing was going to change that. He stole a quick peck from a rattled Brooke as he left.
At the cabin, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) mentioned to Hope that Deacon had been MIA since New Year’s.
Hope eventually admitted that might have something to do with Brooke not wanting Deacon around anymore.
Hope doubted Deacon knew about Brooke’s sobriety issues and hoped to keep those issues under wraps. She especially didn’t want Steffy and Taylor finding out.
When Hope came by the office to drop something off, she crossed paths with Steffy in the main office.
Steffy asked if Hope had come to put her on notice or if she’d rather wait until her mom got there!
Hope said that depended on whether Steffy and Taylor were going to listen about respecting Brooke’s marriage.
Steffy acted like they were just worried about Ridge. She wished Hope would be more open and stop protecting Brooke, but Hope stayed tight-lipped.
Steffy warned that since Brooke was a constant no-show at work, people were starting to wonder.
Steffy knew something was going on, so she hoped it didn’t consume Brooke’s life and marriage more than it already had.
At Il Giardino, Deacon flashed back to steamy memories from his original affair with Brooke.
Deacon also recalled holding Hope as a baby and seemed hopeful about his future with Brooke now.
As for Ridge, he told Brooke that she could talk to him about anything – that it wouldn’t change the way he loves her.
Ridge argued that Brooke didn’t have to answer to anyone at the company, including him.
Ridge could tell Brooke was still pensive over New Year’s Eve, but she wanted to focus on Ridge and how much he meant to her.
Brooke felt she had let herself down along with Ridge, but she didn’t want to do that ever again.
While Brooke gave Ridge an uneasy hug at home, Deacon smiled to himself across town at Il Giardino.
