The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, July 4, reveals that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) flatlined while Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech) slapped Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor). Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) also got a hot reunion night with the man she loved, so here’s how Monday’s B&B episode went down.
At the cabin, Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) gave Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) updates on the wedding disaster before talk turned to Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown).
Liam was glad that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and the kids were safe far away, but he knew it was tough for Steffy since she always wanted to take a trip to Monaco with Finn.
At Il Giardino, Quinn sat in Carter’s lap as they thought back to her stopping his wedding.
Carter decided he should talk to Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) and was pleased when Quinn said she’d be right there waiting for him.
Meanwhile, Grace comforted Paris and hoped she now saw the kind of man Carter really was.
When Carter appeared, he knew he was the last person they wanted to see right now.
Grace walked over to slap Carter across the face, but he knew there was a man out there who truly deserved Paris.
After Carter left, Paris admitted to feeling like a fool. Grace argued that Paris saw the best in people and didn’t ever want her daughter to lose that.
Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) piped up in agreement as he arrived in the doorway.
Once Zende suggested he could take Paris home, she smiled – though she told him that he didn’t have to feel sorry for her.
Zende countered that he felt sorry for Carter, who just gave up the best thing that ever happened to him.
When Zende once again offered a ride home, Paris said she’d like that a lot.
Back with Quinn, she was munching on wedding desserts when Carter returned.
Carter acknowledged that Paris wasn’t OK, but he felt it was time to finally be honest.
After Carter whisked Quinn back to his place, they reflected on the wild day’s events and all the memories they’d made in that loft.
Carter told Quinn this was the beginning of the future they dreamed about and began making love to her.
By Finn’s bedside, Sheila begged her son to open his eyes before Mike Guthrie (Ken Hanes) knocked at the door.
Once Sheila let Mike in, he was stunned to see Finn alive and learned his adoptive mother had secretly been taking care of him.
Sheila wanted Mike to help her since he had access to the prison infirmary and could get her medical supplies.
Mike wondered where Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) was since she was an actual doctor and was alarmed to learn she was dead.
However, Sheila argued that she didn’t mean to kill Li and that the car going out of control was just an accident.
Mike said accidents tend to happen a lot around Sheila and thought he should remember that.
Sheila insisted she was the only mother Finn had now and begged Mike to help her keep her son alive.
Mike flashed back through some jams Sheila had gotten him into over the years.
Although Sheila made Mike do the craziest things, he couldn’t resist helping her.
That said, Mike didn’t break Sheila out for a crime spree!
Sheila argued that she had changed, but Mike struggled to believe that considering Sheila’s recent attacks on Finn’s family.
Even so, Sheila didn’t think a monster or sociopath would risk her own future to save her son like this.
After Finn started mumbling, Mike suggested Sheila should leave while he called 911.
Sheila refused and grew agitated since Li was no longer around to help Finn.
There was nothing about Li’s body in the news, so Sheila wondered if it washed out to sea or was eaten by a shark.
Mike thought Sheila should worry about herself since finding her was the cops’ priority.
After Mike pointed out that Finn didn’t look so good, Sheila said Li was an amazing doctor and that she didn’t mean to hurt her.
When Finn suddenly started to flatline, Sheila went into panic mode and exclaimed that her son was dying.
