The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that we have to ask: Why is John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) being shut out of the Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) storyline? What’s changing on B&B?
After all, Finn served as the catalyst for bringing Sheila back in the first place.
Sheila set out to fight for her right to be in Finn and Hayes Forrester Finnegan’s (Piper Harriot) lives.
Now Sheila is far more concerned with destroying Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) and getting revenge.
It’s true that Sheila wanted payback over Brooke’s threats regarding Finn and Hayes, but it still feels like B&B has lost the plot somewhere along the way.
Finn isn’t even involved in this story anymore!
Instead, Finn has been reduced to spending time with the kids offscreen so that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) can have alone time.
Even on the rare occasion when Finn pops up, he’s talking to Steffy about her parents.
What about Finn and his birth mom? It’d be nice for the show to get back to that part of the story and all the dramatic potential it brings.
We really don’t need to hear Steffy and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) talk incessantly about how Taylor and Ridge belong together.
It’s eating up valuable airtime that the show could be using for Finn and Sheila drama.
They went to the trouble of giving Sheila a long-lost child, but she hasn’t shared all that many scenes with Finn.
Sheila has been too busy plotting against Brooke and visiting Taylor’s office, but let’s hope the show will focus on Finn and Sheila’s complex relationship more down the road.
Perhaps once the truth about Sheila’s role in Brooke’s drunkenness blows up, it could pull Finn back into the storyline.
Finn might take a stand against Sheila’s actions and cause a serious setback – forcing Sheila to step up her game when it comes to bonding with him.
That could certainly drive Sheila to make some dangerous decisions and shocking moves.
Sheila could prove she’s quite the dastardly villain and further complicate things for Finn.
Whatever the case, it’s been sad to see Finn completely shoved aside for the Brooke, Ridge and Taylor love triangle.
