The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) may drop a divorce bomb on Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway). Will cheating with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) be the last straw for their marriage?
Y&R fans know Abby and Chance were already having major relationship problems. Chance has been pulling away from Abby, who just wants him to put their family first.
However, that’s not so easy for Chance when he’s so devoted to his work. Chance feels like Abby expects too much of him and is disappointed when he can’t live up to the ideal in her mind.
Of course, all the Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) drama also took a toll. Chance knew there was a certain expectation that came with marrying into the Newman family, but it was hard for him to align with it.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) expected family loyalty, which ultimately meant turning the other way when Victor covered up the real story behind Ashland’s death.
All Chance and Abby’s issues have built to their biggest one yet – and that’s a deep betrayal. In the November 8 episode, both Chance and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) walk in on Abby with Devon following their hookup.
There’s no denying the passion that erupted, so Chance just has to decide what he’s going to do next. Will Chance eventually drop a divorce bomb on Abby and insist it’s for the best?
Abby already feared it might be the end of her marriage when Chance stayed out all night following a conversation about their future. It left Abby wondering if they had one at all – and things will seem even less certain after Abby’s decision to sleep with Devon.
Chance may wonder what they’ve even fighting for anymore and push Abby to just let go of their marriage mistake. Abby’s going to confess something during the week of November 14-18, so Chance may push her to admit her heart isn’t in this relationship either.
Whatever the case, Abby and Chance could be headed for Splitsville since their marriage is already hanging by a thread. Will Abby and Devon’s hookup be what snaps it?
