The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) may have a shocking proposal for Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) to consider. All signs point to Billy and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) breaking up soon, so Billy might be eager to move out in a hurry.
In the aftermath, Billy will probably just plan to get a hotel suite at The Grand Phoenix.
Although Billy may argue that crashing there is no big deal, Chelsea may not see it that way.
You can bet Chelsea will feel responsible on some level once Billy and Lily call it quits.
Chelsea will also think back to her own struggles and worry about Billy being alone with his heartbreak.
That could easily lead to Chelsea offering Billy a place to stay temporarily.
Chelsea might urge Billy to move in – even if it’s just for a night or two while he processes his breakup news.
Since Chelsea is still working on her own recovery, she might act like Billy would be doing her a favor, too.
Chelsea may think they can keep each other company and offer mutual comfort.
As for Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), he doesn’t stay over at Chelsea’s apartment every night, so it might work out where Billy can plan to leave before he returns.
There might even be some lengthy school trip that Connor goes on in the new year – just so Y&R can get him out of the way for a bit.
That could set the stage for Billy to move in with Chelsea for a while and perhaps hit the sheets with her.
Chelsea and Billy may make some updates to their friendship and move it into more romantic territory.
Of course, this living arrangement could become permanent down the road.
If the show sticks with Billy and Chelsea as a new couple, they could ultimately begin building a real future together.
Regardless, Chelsea will want to repay Billy for all the kindness he’s shown her.
Maybe Chelsea will contend that the least she can do is let Billy stay with her while he copes with losing Lily.
