The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, February 4, reveals that Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor’s (Bryton James) breathing issues will worry Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) while Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) open a mystery gift.
At Crimson Lights on Friday’s Y&R episode, Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) will seek Moses Winters’ (Jacob Aaron Gaines) help making sure all the decorations are perfect.
Faith will ask for Noah Newman’s (Rory Gibson) artistic eye on the engagement party displays, but he’ll act like everything looks fine.
After Faith shows off some of Tessa’s lyrics on a framed poster, she’ll suggest everyone can sign with a message for the happy couple.
Noah won’t know what to say right now, so he’ll delay signing until later.
Mariah and Tessa will show up sooner than planned, so Faith will scramble to gather everyone who’s there so far.
Faith will introduce the newlyweds-to-be, so Noah will sulk over Tessa and Mariah’s lovey-dovey moments.
When a mystery gift box arrives, Mariah and Tessa will wonder who it’s from.
A quick look at the card will reveal that it’s from Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson), who made up for not being able to attend by breaking the “no gift” rule.
Once the box is opened, Mariah will chuckle over it being the “most Kevin gift ever.” She’ll explain that it’s a giant shield from their favorite book series, which had a royal wedding in it.
At Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) penthouse, they’ll talk about attending the same event as Abby and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd).
Devon won’t think it’ll be that awkward since everything’s settled, but Amanda will still pick up on some tension.
However, Devon will act like he plans on dodging any custody questions and keeping the focus on the blissful couple – right where it should be.
Amanda will reflect on being around a baby for the first time and will touch Devon’s heart by imagining Dominic’s future.
Once Amanda and Devon make it to the party, Mariah will approach them about the shared custody situation.
Devon will suggest the arrangement is still new and will be excited over Mariah’s plans to adopt with Tessa.
At the Chancellor mansion, Abby and Chance will talk about how there may be questions now that word is starting to spread regarding shared custody.
Even so, Abby will note that it’s a big night since it’s Chance’s first party since his welcome home bash.
When Abby bends down to check on Dominic in his play yard, she’ll ask Chance if his breathing seems a little faster than usual.
Chance will pat Dom a bit and get him to fall asleep, so he’ll praise himself for getting the job done and act like everything is fine.
Once Abby and Chance are at the coffeehouse, Chance will talk about returning to the force tomorrow with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso).
Abby will also share a sweet moment with Mariah and Devon as they all hold hands. They’ll reflect on the baby journey and how Dom will always connect them.
There’ll be a little photo area on the patio, so that’ll give the couples at the party a chance to snap some pics.
Noah will seem like he’s feeling left out, so he’ll continue to mope.
Sharon will eventually ask Abby about Chance, so Abby will admit Chance opted to go back to work instead of going to therapy.
Abby will add that Chance really seemed to be connecting with Dom before they left the house, so she’ll think things are looking up.
Back with Noah, he’ll speak with Mariah privately and try to clear the air.
Noah won’t want Mariah to hate him, but Mariah will argue that the only person she’s upset with is herself.
That’ll confuse Noah, but Mariah will point out that she hasn’t forgotten how she got together with Tessa in the first place.
Tessa will be sorry for hurting Noah, but he’ll insist he just wants Mariah and Tessa to be ecstatically happy forever.
Sharon will make a speech about coming together to celebrate this couple and being among the first to hear Tessa’s first album.
People will pair off for dancing – once again leaving Noah looking bummed out.
Sharon will then talk about all the challenges Mariah and Tessa have overcome.
Sharon will be hyping them up as an inspiration when Noah interrupts and insists on making a speech of his own.
Noah will recall the first time he heard Tessa sing and will note that it was the most beautiful thing he’s ever heard.
He’ll know Tessa is special and will be so glad she found someone just as special in Mariah.
Noah will hope they can all find love like Mariah and Tessa’s one day, so he’ll toast to them as Sharon and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) exchange an uneasy look.
Afterward, Tessa and Mariah will make their own speech of gratitude before they mention their upcoming wedding.
As the party winds down, Noah will draw a heart as his contribution to the lyric poster. Tessa will look concerned about Noah as she gazes over.
Mariah will end up surprising Tessa with a slow dance to cap the night off, so Noah will sport his usual miserable expression nearby.
Tessa will be on cloud nine with Mariah, so Nick will encourage Noah to leave with him. As Noah heads out, he’ll give one last glance back in Tessa and Mariah’s direction.
When Abby returns home with Chance, she’ll ask the nanny about Dominic.
Abby will find out Dominic slept the whole time they were gone and didn’t even wake up to take his bottle.
That’ll leave Abby troubled as she struggles to get Dominic awake and alert.
Abby will wonder if Dominic seems pale to Chance, so it’ll be clear something is wrong.
