The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, January 31 Update – Abby’s SOS Call to Sharon – Sally Furious Over Altered Videos

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, January 31, reveals that Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will make an SOS call to Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) – and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will be furious over some altered videos.

After Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) surprises Abby with a sweet breakfast, they’ll talk about sleeping more than usual.

Abby and Chance will try to embrace the positives of their night without Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware), but Abby will still be having a hard time.

However, Abby will ultimately turn her attention to Chance and how he’s really holding up.

Abby will feel like Chance needs to talk to a professional, but he won’t feel comfortable opening up to some shrink he doesn’t know.

Chance’s solution will be to distract himself – and he’ll want to do that by rejoining the force after all.

That news will catch Abby off guard, but she’ll try to be supportive if Chance really thinks it’ll help with stability.

At the coffeehouse, Sharon will learn Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) wants to take a trip and look at some colleges.

Sharon will agree despite the suggestion being rather sudden – though she’ll have a protective “mom moment” and remind Faith that GCU is a good school, too.

Next, Abby will call Sharon to the Chancellor mansion, where Sharon will learn Chance is still having nightmares and feels guilty for not being able to step up as a father to Dom.

Abby will wonder if Chance needs therapy in Sharon’s professional opinion.

Of course, Sharon won’t think she can assess Chance’s mental state without talking to him.

Sharon will seem uncomfortable over going behind Chance back like this and will point out Chance has to want help if it’s going to be successful.

Meanwhile, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will join Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) on the Crimson Lights patio and marvel over how well his experimental treatment is working.

Ashland will also offer to bring Nate on board at Newman-Locke and will be looking to take Ask MD Now to the next level.

Nate will pass on the job, but Ashland will make it clear that the spot’s waiting if he wants it.

After Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle) gloats to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) about being his boss now, she’ll find Nate and Ashland at the coffeehouse.

Victoria will find out Ashland just made a job offer to Nate, so she’ll privately confront her husband.

Victoria won’t like the idea of making big offers like that on a whim, especially to friends.

Ashland will argue that if he sees a move to make, he’s going to make it.

Ashland won’t think he should have to constantly ask for permission, particularly since Victoria hasn’t been consulting with him lately either.

Victoria will acknowledge that Ashland wanted more Adam stipulations, but she won’t think they even have to worry about that now.

Victoria will feel like she gave Adam a taste of what working for her would be like and will fully expect him to quit.

At the ranch on Monday’s Y&R episode, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will stand by his decision to sell Newman Media to Victoria.

Victor won’t care about Adam’s complaints and will deliver an ultimatum to his son.

Adam can either accept the sale and stay on at Newman Media or else he can walk – but Victor will expect an answer soon.

Sally will also face some infuriating news when she learns Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) made sure she was edited out of all her New York videos.

Chelsea will make a comment about how this isn’t “The Sally Show.”

Chelsea will act like Sally is a relative unknown anyway, but Sally will pipe up about the wedding dress she designed for Victoria and all the publicity that brought.

Chelsea will practically roll her eyes at that and suggest Sally needs to let that one victory go.

Soon after, Chelsea will run into Chance, so that’ll bring a conversation about their kids and the shared custody drama with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James).

Chelsea will think it’s a big deal to share custody and will get the complications that brings.

After Chelsea reflects on being Johnny Abbott’s (Holden and Ryan Hare) biological mother, she’ll note that she wasn’t ready to commit to raising him.

Chelsea will note that Victoria and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) are Johnny’s parents in every way, but she’ll still have a special place in her heart for the boy.

Chance will point out that Chelsea stepped aside when Devon wasn’t able to do the same with Dominic.

Although Chance will fret over all this being too confusing for Dom, Chelsea will downplay that idea.

Chelsea will feel like sometimes what’s most painful for a parent is what’s best for a child – and that’s love.

Chance will also meet up with Rey, who’ll learn Chance wants to come back to work after all.

That’ll leave Rey fretting over the danger on the job. Rey won’t think it’s a good idea for Chance to face more trauma when he hasn’t worked through what happened in Spain.

Nevertheless, Chance will be convinced this is what’s best.

Chance will return home in time to help Abby greet Dominic, who’ll come home from Devon’s penthouse looking happy and healthy according to the nanny.

Back with Rey, he’ll talk to Sharon about his Chance concerns.

Sharon won’t be able to go into any confidential details, but she’ll note that Abby has some fears of her own.

When Adam returns to Newman Media, he’ll shut down Sally and Chelsea’s latest fight with a bombshell.

Chelsea and Sally will find out about the sale of Newman Media, but Chelsea won’t think Sally and Adam seem shocked enough.

Chelsea act like they got some form of a heads-up, but she’ll choose to move on and break the news to Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson).

Sally won’t think Adam should walk away from his accomplishments at Newman Media.

Adam will be tempted to start fresh elsewhere, but Sally will play up all the resources at Newman-Locke and suggest Adam will have more power than before.

Sally will add that Adam can maybe find a way to control Victoria and turn this role into something far bigger!

Although Adam will be a little suspicious of Sally’s ulterior motives, he’ll seem interested in this power play Sally has in mind.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victoria could get knocked down a few pegs soon, so keep watching!
