It seems silly to bring Noah back just so he can pine for someone completely unavailable.

The easiest and most logical explanation would be for Jack to find out he has an adult granddaughter.
Jack will continue to get texts that promise he’ll be glad he pursued this and act like this is something he’s been missing.
Jack would certainly enjoy the chance to get to know his granddaughter and introduce her around Genoa City.
That could put this lovely lady in Noah’s path and give him someone new to fall for.
Noah needs a woman who won’t break his heart and can love him back, so maybe this new Abbott family member will check all the right boxes.
There’s no guarantee that’s where Jack’s latest mystery is going, but all signs point to an adult granddaughter and Noah love interest at the moment.
