The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) may have a COO offer for Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson), so this could lead to a bold move after Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) ditches her BFF for solo success.
Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) want Chelsea to serve as Marchetti’s newest designer, so that’s something Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) decided she’s on board with.
No one can blame Chelsea for taking advantage of an incredible opportunity like this, but Chloe is bound to feel rather snubbed and discarded.
Chelsea might argue that they can find a place for Chloe somewhere, but Chloe won’t want to feel like an afterthought.
This will serve as another blow to an already crumbling friendship since Chloe and Chelsea have been fighting so much lately.
Chloe may come to realize she took the wrong side after Newman Media’s fashion platform blew up.
Back then, it was Sally that was left to fend for herself – though things worked out OK since Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) took her under his wing.
Now Sally has been promoted to CEO and needs to replace herself in the COO position. Chloe makes the most sense as the person Sally will ultimately turn to.
After all, Chloe is great at logistics and knows how to make things happen on a deadline.
All the things Chelsea finds annoying and detrimental to her creative process will be huge pros in Sally’s eyes.
Sally was grateful when Chloe took a chance on her once upon a time. This will allow Sally to return the favor and become a team with Chloe again.
Y&R fans will recall that Chloe and Sally worked quite well together until Chelsea came back to town.
Chelsea was the one who made a mess of that partnership, but Sally never really held it against Chloe and won’t hold it against her now either.
Chloe may be pleasantly surprised to get a COO offer after Chelsea bails on her for this designer gig at Marchetti, so it could all work out for the best.
