The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) could be gearing up for a new romantic chapter. Will that be how this widow moves on from Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso)?
For a while, it seemed like Y&R might be gearing up for a Sharon and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) reunion instead.
Nick was certainly Sharon’s rock after Rey died, but she’s doing better now and could perhaps be ready to move on with someone else.
After all, Nick is awfully busy with Newman Enterprises and his messy relationship with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).
It’s clear that Nick has other things going on, so it’s Sharon’s turn to spread her wings.
Fall preview spoilers indicate that Sharon is indeed getting a new storyline that involves more than pouring coffee and serving as a confidant.
That’s great news since Sharon Case is a great actress who deserves far better material.
As for what Sharon’s next story might look like, Tucker may be a factor.
CDL previously speculated that Trevor St. John would be playing a Tucker McCall recast and replacing Stephen Nichols in the role.
Now reliable insiders are confirming the news, so it’s reasonable to think Tucker could be a love interest option for Sharon.
Tucker and Sharon were romantically involved once upon a time, but things were complicated due to Sharon’s mental health and Tucker’s penchant for scheming.
Of course, things may remain complicated now since Tucker is still scheming with Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters)!
Even so, Sharon doesn’t have a man in her life and has a new story coming up, so there could be a new chance for romance with Tucker.
It’s worth keeping in mind as we await Trevor St. John’s Y&R debut on September 28.
