The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Summer’s Newman Media Takeover – Victor Makes Granddaughter Sally’s New Boss?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Summer Newman (last played by Hunter King) may be poised for a Newman Media takeover. Will Victor make his granddaughter Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) new boss?

Victor doesn’t like Sally very much, especially after the way she treated Summer during their old feuding days.

The show has the chance to reignite that feud since a Summer recast is on the way – at least if everything goes according to plan.

Y&R has been searching for Hunter King’s replacement since Michael Mealor is back on contract as Kyle Abbott.

They need a full-time Summer for a long-term return as well.

Once this new Summer hits Genoa City, she’s going to need a job!

Summer could get another position related to fashion, but there’s not much drama if she simply goes to work for Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) again.

This would be the ideal opportunity to get Summer back into the Newman family business instead.

Victor might override Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) decision to make Sally the CEO of Newman Media down the road.

Let’s say Adam gets his wish and is allowed to remain the CEO of Newman-Locke.

That doesn’t mean Victor will go along with Adam’s pick to run Newman Media permanently!

Sally’s time at the top could be temporary if Victor demotes Sally back down to COO under Newman Media’s new leader.

Can you imagine if Sally’s options are to quit or endure reporting to Summer? That’d be an excellent path to reviving the conflict between Summer and Sally.

This would also help Summer feel more like a connected part of the Newman family.

The show is now focusing on bringing families together, so having Summer run Newman Media would fit with the writing team’s vision.

Bottom line, Summer is returning in some form and will need employment back in Genoa City.

Victor could easily appoint Summer the CEO of Newman Media and yank the title away from Sally sooner or later.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say some curveballs will come with Summer’s eventual return to Genoa City, so stay tuned.
