The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Thursday, February 17 Recap – Jack’s Los Angeles Mystery Text – Chance Blasts Rey's Betrayal

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, February, 17, reveals that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will get a Los Angeles mystery text while Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) blasts Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) for his betrayal.

At the Grand Phoenix, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will be nervous ahead of the big pitch to Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman).

Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will offer a pep talk, but Chelsea will feel like her new beginning is at stake.

At Society, Jack will note that hasn’t heard anything regarding Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) Marchetti decision.

Jack will tell Lauren that Phyllis should do whatever makes her happiest.

Lauren will push Jack to admit that he wants Phyllis to turn the offer down and stay in Genoa City.

Lauren won’t get why Jack’s being so coy, but Jack will argue that his feelings for Phyllis are no secret.

In fact, Jack will admit he misses Phyllis already. He’ll suggest he’d have a lot to say if Phyllis were there – and moments later, Phyllis will appear.

After Phyllis chats with Lauren and Jack briefly, Chelsea and Chloe will arrive for their presentation.

Phyllis will be glad to know Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is no longer part of the picture and will mention that Chelsea moved in her hotel.

Phyllis will think it’s good that Chelsea is removing so much toxicity from her life.

While Lauren sits down with Chloe and Chelsea, Phyllis will join Jack at a table of their own.

Phyllis will talk about how amazing it was spending time with Summer Newman-Abbott (Hunter King), Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Harrison Locke (Kellen Enrique).

Phyllis will also think she can rise to the challenge if she accepts the job, but she’ll admit her roots are in Genoa City. This town made Phyllis – for better or for worse.

Phyllis will feel like moving to Milan and accepting the offer would mean changing who she is, so she’ll have to consider whether that’s what she wants.

Jack will ask what decision Phyllis has reached, so she’ll admit she’s going to stay in GC with her hotel, family and the life she loves.

That choice will thrill Jack, who’ll invite Phyllis to have the dinner they planned right now. Phyllis will seem quite relaxed with Jack as they enjoy a flirty meal together.

As their meal winds down, Jack will get a text from a Los Angeles area code. He’ll tell Phyllis it’s just an LA address and assume it was a wrong number.

While Phyllis is grabbing their coats, Jack will get another text that confirms the message is for Jack Abbott.

The mystery texter will insist Jack needs to go to Los Angeles for something he’s been missing.

Back with Chelsea and Chloe, they’ll give an impressive presentation for “Bella Milcono,” which comes from the names of their three kids.

Lauren will eventually decide she’s heard enough and will welcome them aboard at Fenmore’s.

At Crimson Lights, Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will want to know what happened to Chance on the stakeout.

Abby will grill Rey about how bad it was, but Rey will be hesitant to betray his partner’s confidence.

All Rey will be willing to divulge is that they both knew it was too soon for Chance to get back into the fray.

Abby will ask if Rey would be willing to talk to Chance – cop to cop, partner to partner and friend to friend.

Abby will think Rey might be the only person who can convince Chance that he doesn’t have to pretend everything’s OK.

At the site of the recent stakeout, Chance will flash back to that night. Y&R fans will finally see what went down after Chance’s panic attack.

Chance will recall telling Rey that he choked under the pressure – that he was useless just like in Spain.

It was another moment of failure where Chance felt he let his team down.

As the flashback continues, Rey will insist no one got hurt and will point out that the perp’s in custody.

Rey will think Chance simply came back to work too soon, but Chance won’t think he’ll ever be ready to come back.

Chance will wonder if he can ever really get past what happened in Spain and rush off.

Back in the present, Chance will keep wrestling with what happened. He’ll ultimately find Rey waiting with Abby at the Chancellor mansion.

Rey will assure Chance that he didn’t say much about the stakeout since it wasn’t his place.

However, Abby will acknowledge that Chance doesn’t feel comfortable talking to her. She’ll urge Chance to talk to his partner before leaving him alone with Rey.

Chance will lash out at Rey for going behind his back and speaking with Abby about him. “I mean, what the hell are you doing, man?” Chance will demand to know.

Rey will insist this is coming from a place of concern, but Chance will insist he doesn’t want to add to Abby’s plate with everything that’s going on with the baby.

Rey will counter that it’s not about Chance’s plate or Abby’s plate. It’s all one big plate that they need to tackle together.

Rey will add that if Chance doesn’t start opening up, Abby won’t be in the picture at all.

Rey will feel like Chance can only suppress his feelings for so long before he explodes.

Rey will contend that Abby needs all of Chance – not just some hollowed-out shell of the man he used to be. T

hat’ll offend Chance, but Rey will warn that he’s got some work to do before he returns to the force.

Part of that work will be letting Chance’s guard down and showing Abby how he truly feels.

Once Rey is gone, Chance will struggle to confide in Abby like she wants.

Abby will feel like they need to lean on each other, especially during Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor’s (Rainn and River Ware) medical crisis.

After Abby convinces Chance to tell her what happened on the stakeout, he’ll talk about the fear rising up as he relived Spain.

Chance will feel like he could’ve gotten his team killed again and will reflect on feeling so paralyzed.

Abby will insist Chance is a strong, brave man, but she’ll warn that his family needs him to find a way to cope with this so he can heal.

Abby will add that Chance needs to do it now.

Rey will make his way back to the coffeehouse, so he’ll see Chelsea looking excited with Chloe.

After Chelsea sits down at a table, she’ll flash back to her steamy kiss dream.

Rey will jolt Chelsea back to reality by asking about the celebration, so Chloe will help her explain their new Fenmore’s deal.

Rey will think that’s great news and will tell Chelsea that she should be proud of herself.

Rey will know Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) is going to be proud of Chelsea, too.

After going over some plans for the new line, Chloe will decide to head out. Chelsea will opt to stay behind, so she’ll invite Rey to join her.

Chloe will pause in the doorway to look back, so she’ll seem pleased over Chelsea and Rey getting along so well.
