The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle) may forbid Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) romance. Will Victoria threaten a double firing if the lovers can’t quit?
Y&R released a preview video for the week of February 14-18, which features a devious Victoria plotting against Adam.
Instead of waiting for Adam to screw up, Victoria intends to make sure it happens.
It’s interesting that while Victoria is scheming, the same promo shows Adam and Sally’s first time making love.
That could be a hint that Victoria will set Adam up to fail through his new relationship with Sally.
After all, Victoria didn’t have all the facts when she agreed to Adam’s COO pick. When Victoria finds out Sally and Adam are romantically involved now, she may settle on that as a way to drive them both out of the Newman Media.
Victoria already suggested that Sally was reckless and opportunistic, so she intends to use those flaws to her advantage.
Of course, Victoria’s real enemy here is Adam. She doesn’t want Adam running the company and needs a way to get rid of him as quickly as possible.
Victoria will lay down the law with Adam in the coming episodes, so that could be regarding his romance.
Perhaps Victoria will argue that as Sally’s boss, it’s completely inappropriate for Adam to be sleeping with her – and at the office no less!
There might be security camera footage to alert Victoria to Adam and Sally’s Valentine’s Day rendezvous, but she’ll inevitably discover their steamy connection one way or another.
Naturally, we should point out the hypocrisy considering Victoria works with Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) and sleeps with him in her office, too.
However, Victoria may argue that’s different since Ashland is more of an equal than an employee.
It doesn’t matter anyway since Victoria is calling the shots.
Victoria can pretty much force Adam to do anything she wants – or in this, not do something.
Perhaps Victoria will ban Adam and Sally from having any sort of romantic contact.
If Sally and Adam choose to violate Victoria’s rule, she could fire them both.
That would suit Victoria just fine, so she may take this route and hope the temptation is too much to bear.
Once Adam and Sally have a taste of the passion they’ve been craving, they won’t be able to resist it.
Maybe that could lead to sneaking around and trying not to get caught.
This could turn into something fun for fans despite Victoria’s ruthless intentions – at least if she indeed tries to get rid of Adam by using his Sally romance against him.
