The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Thursday, January 6 Recap – Billy Busts Sally, Reveals Plan to Adam & Slams Victoria

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, January 6, tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will bust Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and reveal his plan to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will also have a change of heart regarding his career, so let’s talk about what’s ahead on Thursday’s Y&R episode.

In Victoria Newman-Locke’s (Amelia Heinle) office, Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) will worry that his wife just wants to protect Billy again.

Ashland won’t understand why Victoria is making such a foolish move and will act like this plan is too risky.

At home, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will complain that the stakes have changed. She won’t be on board with helping to build Victoria’s empire since this was supposed to be about repairing Billy’s reputation.

Lily will think Billy and Victoria are falling into the same old patterns, so she’ll want no part of that.

At Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse, he’ll turn down food after a sleepless night.

Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will offer to stick around, but Devon will push her to go since it’ll be her first day at the law firm with new clients.

When Amanda bumps into Lily in the hallway, she’ll encourage Lily to talk to Devon.

Lily will indeed get Devon to open up about the Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) situation.

Lily won’t really understand the problem since Devon’s already got free access, but Devon will insist it’s deeper than that.

Devon will mention wanting more than occasional visits and will admit he’s concerned about Dominic’s well-being.

After Devon talks about Chance’s trauma and the emotional turmoil of the house, Lily will agree that he deserves to be a protective presence in Dom’s life.

At the Chancellor mansion, Chance will take a break from looking at parenting articles to give Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) some news.

Chance will get that Abby didn’t have a great reaction to his recent excitement of getting back on the force.

Chance will suggest that after he came down off that high, he reached a decision. Chance will want to extend his time off to an indefinite leave and focus on his family.

Chance will make it clear that he doesn’t feel pressured into this and will be confident that Abby can help him conquer this fatherhood thing.

At Society, Abby will praise Chance for mastering the car seat before heading back to talk to the chef.

Chance will seem a lot more comfortable with Dominic, who’ll coo as his daddy gushes over how cute he is. When Devon walks in and witnesses the sweet moment, he’ll leave without being seen.

Afterward, Devon will meet back up with Amanda and admit to seeing Chance with Dominic at Society.

Devon will announce that he’s made up his mind to pursue legal rights to be with what he considers to be his son.

Meanwhile, Abby will rejoin Chance as they play around with a laughing Dominic, who’ll seem perfectly fine and happy with his parents.

At Crimson Lights, Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) will spot Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines) speaking with Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) before he dashes off to take care of something.

Moses will act like it doesn’t involve Elena, but Faith will be pretty sure he’s lying.

Faith will battle concerns about the deception and share them with Noah Newman (Rory Gibson), but Moses will return with a charm bracelet that features chess pieces.

Faith’s worries will be for nothing since Moses just needed Elena’s help to track the bracelet down and didn’t want to ruin the surprise.

On the patio, Noah and Elena will comment on how adorable Moses and Faith are.

Elena will think young love is wonderful even if it doesn’t last, but Noah will admit sometimes adults have trouble making it last, too.

At The Empty Glass, Billy will mull over Lily and Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) criticism of his disastrous plan.

When Billy spots Sally nearby in her ridiculous disguise, he’ll walk over and tell her that the jig is up.

Billy will rip off Sally’s hat before insisting they’re going to see her boss.

At Newman Media, Billy and Sally will arrive in Adam’s office. That’s where Billy will call Sally out on all the times she spied.

Billy will admit to never drinking a drop and will show Adam the apple juice receipts.

As for Billy’s supposed gambling, he’ll insist he never bet a game and merely bought drinks to thank his old friends for their time.

After Adam sends Sally out, he’ll ask what the point of this grand charade was.

Billy will act like Adam was desperate and stupid enough to take his bait. He’ll suggest Adam saw what he wanted to see: the downward spiral of Billy Abbott.

Billy will think it was only a matter of time until Newman Media published a story that he would then sue them for.

Billy was going to show mercy if Adam, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Ashland came clean about what they did to him and his company.

Adam will act like Billy shot himself in the foot by revealing all this now – though he’ll think quitting before accomplishing anything is on-brand for Billy.

However, Billy will argue that he realized Adam wasn’t worth it. He’ll add that Adam will have to live with knowing Billy could’ve taken him down.

Billy will think that’ll haunt Adam more than if he’d actually done it.

Once Billy is gone, Sally will reconvene with Adam and assume it’s good that Billy didn’t actually relapse.

Adam will scold Sally for spying again and urge her to focus on the job she was paid to do, so she’ll seem upset.

Next, Billy will fill Victoria in on how he intentionally blew up the plan.

Victoria will think Billy couldn’t stand the idea of her calling the shots. She won’t think Billy will ever have what it takes to play in the big leagues.

After Ashland learns Billy bailed on the plan, he’ll be relieved.

Billy will point out that others in his life were genuinely concerned for him, but Victoria was only concerned about business and her selfish priorities.

It’ll make Billy sad to say it, but he’ll think Victoria’s father would be extremely proud.

Once Victoria is alone with Ashland, she’ll suggest she still wants to acquire Newman Media. Victoria will think she has a way to get Victor on their side.

Back at home, Billy will tell Lily that the plan is over. He’ll explain how he came clean to Adam and warned Victoria it was finished.

Billy will thank Lily for always telling him the truth and being patient with him. If the offer still stands, Billy will decide he wants to go to work with Lily at Chancellor Industries.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Billy will head down a new path, but it’ll also come with new challenges!
