The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Thursday, July 7 Recap – Ashland’s Spy Scores Adam Intel – Victoria Secures CEO Title

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, July 7, reveals that Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) spy will score Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) intel while Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) seeks Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) CEO answer.

At Newman Enterprises, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will arrive hoping for news on what happened with Ashland.

Once Victoria fills Billy in on all the details, he’ll be impressed over her getting rid of Ashland for good.

In Ashland’s athletic club suite, his henchman will arrive and get a chance to redeem himself after the mess in Peru.

After Ashland admits he’ll be keeping a low profile in Genoa City, he’ll want this henchman to be his eyes and ears when it comes to the Newmans.

Ashland will insist any info on Victor and Adam will be appreciated, but Victoria will be the primary target.

Once Ashland instructs his spy to track Victoria’s whereabouts and report back with every single detail, he’ll want to be given updates on the hour.

At Crimson Lights on Thursday’s Y&R episode, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will sense that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) has put some real thought into whether he’ll come back to Newman Enterprises.

After Nikki points out Victor would be thrilled, she’ll suggest Victoria has bigger plans for Nick than just an advisory role.

Nikki will think Victoria left it open-ended so that Nick could decide where he wants to fit in the organization.

At Society, Victor will scold Adam since it was inappropriate to storm out of the family meeting like that.

Adam will feel the ground crumbling beneath him, but Victor will insist he never would’ve announced Adam as CEO if he’d known Victoria would be back in a week.

Although Adam will believe Victor, he’ll wish he had more time to show his father what he’s capable of.

However, Victor will want Adam to use all his ideas to help Victoria – and he’ll point out that they could be a formidable team along with Nick.

Adam will act like he accepts that, but he won’t seem happy at all.

When Victor returns to Victoria’s office, he’ll get rid of Billy and want to talk business.

Victoria will urge Victor to be honest first and will seem worried that he’s upset with her.

After Victor asks how much “Billy Boy” knew about Victoria’s plan, he’ll be relieved to find out Billy knew nothing.

Victoria will explain that she didn’t tell Victor because she didn’t want to put him in a position where he had to lie to Nikki.

Plus, Victoria will feel like Victor might not have moved forward with the press conference if he’d known the truth.

That press conference was instrumental in getting Ashland to believe Victoria had irrevocably broken ties with her family.

Victoria will acknowledge that her scheme was risky, but she’ll feel like she had everything to gain and nothing to lose – that is if she holds the CEO title.

Victor will confirm that he’s proud of Victoria’s revenge plot and how she runs the company, so her spot on the throne will be secure.

The conversation will shift to Nick showing more family loyalty lately.

Victor will be glad Victoria appreciates that and will hope she can find a way to appreciate Adam, too.

After Victoria wonders if Adam will stick around at the company, Victor will wonder if she really thinks he’ll just walk away.

Victoria won’t believe Adam cares about family loyalty, but Victor will counter that Adam’s been working hard to be accepted by the family – and he won’t think Adam’s going to jeopardize that.

Back at Society, Billy will approach Adam and taunt him about Victoria’s big win.

Nearby, Ashland’s spy will listen as Billy talks about Adam being in a world of hurt with his back up against the wall.

Adam will admit that’s indeed where he’s at, but he’ll think Billy of all people should know that’s when he’s most dangerous.

Ashland’s spy will seem intrigued as he eavesdrops on the discussion.

In the park, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will apologize to Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and admit she was right about Chelsea spreading herself too thin.

After Chelsea announces she wants to dissolve their partnership, she’ll explain that she’s not emotionally prepared to launch this business.

Chelsea won’t want to let Chloe down and will feel like that’s what she’d be doing if she kept pretending she could focus on this.

Chloe will be a little heartbroken, but she’ll understand and accept Chelsea’s choice as what’s best for her.

Chelsea will reveal that she’s going to meet with Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) and void the Fenmore’s contract.

Then, Chelsea will plan to tell Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) that she’s turning down the Marchetti deal.

Chloe and Chelsea will agree it’s better to lose the business partnership than their friendship.

After Chelsea questions what Chloe will do next, Chloe will hint that she has some ideas and will figure something out.

Once Chloe is alone, she’ll leave a voicemail for Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and hope they can further discuss her offer.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea will tackle a new venture soon, so she’ll still find ways to stay busy in Genoa City.
