The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tuesday, August 30 Recap – Adam’s No-Revenge Epiphany – Sharon Helps Lonely Sally

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, August 30, teases that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will reveal a no-revenge epiphany while Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) helps lonely Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) try to let go.

At Crimson Lights, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will thank Adam for his support.

Adam will thank Chelsea as well since she helped him reconsider going after Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and convinced him to give Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) job offer more thought.

Sally will spot the warm interaction and interrupt with a fake nice act, so that’ll leave Adam suspicious.

Once Adam exits, Sally will corner Chelsea alone and snap that she certainly didn’t waste any time.

Chelsea will once again play up her history with Adam and refuse to let Sally get in the way of being in a good place with him.

Whether friendship or something more is going on, Chelsea will argue that it’s none of Sally’s business.

Sharon will witness the tension and approach Sally once Chelsea saunters out.

After Sharon suggests it’s hard to let go, Sally will admit that’s true – though she’ll finally understand that Adam’s primary relationship will always be with Victor.

Sally will talk about Adam going after Victor again and will wonder how Sharon deals with loneliness now that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) is gone.

That’ll lead to Sharon talking about her cancer battle and how she learned to cherish every day, including when she spends time alone.

After Sharon mentions her support system of loved ones, Sally will point out that includes Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).

Sharon will agree that Nick is a good man and that she’s lucky to have him in her life.

At Newman Enterprises, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will suggest Sally should let Adam think she’s on his side – just to buy them some time.

Nick won’t want Sally being used as a pawn and will shut down Victoria’s attempt to protect him.

After Nick starts to understand his brother’s perspective, Victoria will rant about how Adam is trying to slander Victor.

Nick will argue that it’s not slander since the cover-up is true, but Victoria will remind Nick that it was an accident.

Once Victor appears, he’ll insist he can handle Adam’s threats and will want to celebrate putting this dreadful Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) chapter behind them.

At Society, Adam will leave a voicemail for Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and admit he’s been reconsidering his offer.

After Adam spots Victor, Nick and Victoria drinking Champagne at a table, he’ll decide to pick up the tab and will announce that he’s had an epiphany.

Adam will assure the Newmans that someone very close to him convinced him not to go down a vengeful road again.

Victoria will be skeptical after Adam walks off, but Victor will reiterate that he’s going to deal with Adam.

Next on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, Nick will approach Adam to see if this epiphany is for real.

Adam will promise that it is and will compare the AJ Montalvo cover-up to what just happened with Nick.

After Adam talks about suppressing what happened in Kansas for a long time, he’ll admit it turned him into who he is today.

“Is that what you want, Nick?” Adam will ask.

At Newman Enterprises, Victoria will thank Victor for everything he did and suggest Nick is grateful deep down.

Although Victoria won’t know what’s going on inside Adam’s head, Victor will vow to protect their family – even if it means protecting them from one of their own.

On the GCAC rooftop, Chelsea will listen to part of the final podcast that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) emailed.

After Chelsea reflects on goodbyes and new beginnings, she’ll call Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) and admit she was missing him.

In the park, Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) will have his first birthday party.

Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will get everyone to write down their favorite memories of Dom’s first year.

That way, Dominic can open a time capsule on his 18th birthday after he’s graduated high school.

Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will all read what they wrote down for Dom.

Abby will note that her favorite memory was when Chance came home to meet Dominic, so Chance will admit that was his favorite memory, too.

After the party breaks up, Abby will mention that Chance has been quiet.

Chance will confess that he’s still dwelling on the Ashland case and trying to reconcile what he did.

Abby will urge Chance to stop second-guessing his decision, but he’ll lash out since he won’t know who else to talk to about this.

Chance can’t exactly go around town telling people that his father-in-law committed a crime and that he’s having trouble letting it go.

Abby will soften a bit and hate what this is doing to Chance, but he’ll act like it’s all good and take a phone call.

Chance will then reveal that he’s going to meet with an informant in one of Rey’s cases – the last one that’ll wrap up the entire caseload.

Abby will be disappointed that he’s bailing now, but she’ll hope for some family time with Chance and Dominic once everything’s done.

Although Abby will think they at least need a long weekend together, Chance will only agree to think about it.

Once Abby is alone with Dominic, Devon will return for his forgotten tablet.

That’ll give Abby a chance to open up about Chance’s work consuming him, especially a recent case that wasn’t so cut and dry.

Although Chance isn’t like Victor, Devon will assure Abby that family is still her husband’s priority.

Abby will thank Devon for the pep talk with a hug, but she’ll look uneasy.

Back at the coffeehouse, Mariah and Tessa will give Sharon updates on Dominic’s birthday bash.

It made Tessa and Mariah want to dive back into the adoption process, so Sharon will be excited over this next chapter.
