The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, February 8, teases that we’ll hear Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor’s (Rainn and River Ware) doctor report since Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will want some answers. Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will also team up, so here’s what viewers can expect.
Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) looked petrified over Dominic’s health crisis when we last saw her.
Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) hasn’t been quite as concerned, so he may once again beat himself up for his lack of parental intuition.
Of course, the nanny didn’t seem too worried either, so perhaps Y&R is just highlighting Abby’s strong bond with Dominic.
Abby is trusting her gut and can tell something is wrong here.
Chance should face growing fears of his own, but he may downplay them for Abby’s sake.
Abby will be an emotional wreck – and Devon will be pretty panicked, too. Chance is trained to stay cool under pressure, so may feel like he has to stay optimistic for Abby and Devon in the midst of all this.
Regardless, Dominic will get examined by a doctor, so that’ll bring good news and bad news.
The good news is that Dom’s physical tests will be fairly normal. The bad news is that there’ll still be some mysterious condition causing Dominic’s issues.
That condition may not turn out to be too serious in the end, but the doctor will have to dig deep and try to nail down a diagnosis.
When Devon finds out blood tests have been ordered, he’ll grill Abby and Chance about what the doc hopes to learn.
Since Y&R seems to be gearing up for a bio dad surprise, Devon should be in for a rude awakening.
Dominic doesn’t appear to be Devon’s biological child after all, so that’ll shatter Devon’s heart down the road.
In the meantime, Amanda and Lauren will join forces to accomplish something.
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) left to test the waters at Marchetti, but that doesn’t mean Lauren and Amanda can’t fish for Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) updates in her absence.
It looks like that’s exactly what Lauren and Amanda will have in mind.
Since they’re both invested in Phyllis’ happiness, they’ll want to find out what’s in Jack’s heart and perhaps what he plans to do.
Amanda and Lauren would like to keep Phyllis in Genoa City, so they may subtly push Jack to reunite with her romantically.
Maybe Jack will even get a shove toward Italy for some bold romantic gesture – one that could bring “Phack” home as a couple eventually.
Jack will also get some guidance from Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) eventually, but only Jack himself can decide his next move.
Although Jack will be feeling lonely and adrift, a turning point is coming up for his character.
Jack may make a firm decision to pursue Phyllis soon, but a new mystery’s brewing that’ll bring some bombshells.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis and Jack will tackle an adventure together once they’re back in each other’s orbits, so stay tuned.
