The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tuesday, July 5 Recap – Adam Furious Over Victoria’s Scam – Imani Traps Nate

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, July 5, reveals that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will be furious over Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) scam. Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) will also set a trap for Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), so here’s what Y&R fans can look forward to.

At Newman Enterprises, Adam will complain about being left out of the loop, but Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will insist she doesn’t know what’s happening with Victoria either.

After Nikki mentions Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) blocking Victoria’s new venture, Adam will get fed up over his father paving the way for his daughter’s “glorious” return.

Nikki will defend Victor’s move as one meant to protect Victoria, but she’ll grow concerned when Victor texts that Victoria’s plane has landed early.

That’ll leave Nikki wondering where Victoria is and what’s going on with her.

Meanwhile, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will sit on the coffeehouse patio and leave a voicemail for Victoria.

It’ll be obvious to Billy that Victoria’s family is keeping some big secret.

At The Grand Phoenix, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will show up after being summoned by Victoria to a suite.

Victoria will embrace Nick and explain that she’s having her house deep-cleaned before she moves back in – just to symbolically remove any remnants of Ashland Locke (Robert Newman).

After Victoria admits she wants to thank Nick, she’ll point out that he was the only family member who came to her without judgment.

Nick will wonder what happened in New York, but Victoria will want him to round up Victor, Nikki and Adam for a meeting before she explains.

However, Victoria will at least promise Nick that she’s back for good – and she’ll add that things will have to change.

In New York, Ashland will recall Victoria’s scathing speech and make a phone call in a failed attempt to get his money back.

A little later, Ashland will make another call to charter a plane to Chicago today.

While Victoria is freshening up ahead of her Newman Enterprises meeting, she’ll recall how she told Ashland to disappear.

Next, Victoria will speak with Billy over the phone and vow to fill him in on everything later.

Before Victoria hangs up, she’ll let Billy know he can breathe easier knowing Ashland Locke is finally out of her life for good.

At home, Nate will bring Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) a rose before her flight to Hawaii.

After Nate says aloha, he’ll manage to squeeze in a lovemaking session before Elena departs.

In the park, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will bump into Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) and join him for a run.

Chance and Devon will be glad everything worked out regarding Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware).

At Society, Imani will talk about how she just got back from seeing Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) for the first time after her stroke.

Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) and Imani will discuss their concerns with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), who’ll offer them time off since family comes first.

When Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) appears, Lily will quiz her about the hotel she was once building across from The Grand Phoenix.

Abby will admit the plan fell through – mostly due to Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and all her sabotage attempts.

Lily will have a similar idea for a posh and modern hotel that could be used for visiting talent, corporate conferences, concerts and more.

Although Lily will bring up the idea of purchasing The Grand Phoenix from Phyllis, Amanda won’t think there’s any hope of her selling it.

Lily won’t be concerned about the competition if they do end up building a rival hotel. It’ll be clear that Lily’s more than willing to go head-to-head with Phyllis.

Once Amanda arrives at the penthouse, she’ll cry in Devon’s arms over her mom’s condition.

Devon will offer a pep talk and promise that as long as his heart’s beating, she’ll never be alone again.

Since Chance will feel like he’s been neglecting Abby lately, he’ll offer a surprise picnic in the park.

Abby will appreciate the gesture, but she’ll assure Chance that she’s proud of all the work he’s been doing to honor Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso).

When their picnic gets interrupted by a GCPD notification, Abby will insist that Chance should go handle it.

After Chance leaves, Abby will secretly seem a little disappointed.

At Crimson Lights, Imani will admit she’s throwing herself into work to help deal with her fears about Naya.

Nate will get updates on Elena’s Newman Media contract being airtight, but Imani will propose that they team up to get her out of it.

After Nate suggests taking a personal approach by speaking with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), Imani will vow to set everything up.

In a moment alone, Imani will call to make reservations for two over the phone and gaze at Nate.

Sneaky Imani will then lie that she arranged for Sally to join them and that she made dinner reservations for three.

Nate will think that’s great news – not realizing that Imani is luring him into her romantic trap!

At the Chancellor-Winters office, Billy will gush over Victoria dumping Ashland and think now is the time to have a little fun on his podcast.

Lily won’t think the disastrous end to a failed relationship is cause for celebration, but Billy will counter that this dramatic turnaround is inspiring.

While Billy insists that Victoria is back where she belongs, Victoria will hug Nikki at Newman Enterprises.

After Victoria says she had to make her break from the family seem plausible, Adam will look livid.

“So it was all a scam? A trick? What have you done, Victoria?” Adam will ask as Victoria smiles back.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victoria and Adam’s feud is about to soar to new heights, so stay tuned!
