The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, June 14, teases that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will get blindsided while Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) plays a dangerous game. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will also celebrate a big win, so there’ll be some big moments happening on Tuesday’s Y&R episode.
At the merger launch party, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will try to shake off any remaining nerves before his speech.
Thanks to Imani Benedict’s (Leigh-Ann Rose) pep talk beforehand, Nate will be feeling large and in charge as he takes the stage.
That’s an issue since Devon is actually the one in charge here! Nate is the COO and needs to be listening to the CEO’s orders, but he’ll decide his strategy is the right one instead.
After Devon and Lily make safe speeches about the big picture at Chancellor-Winters, Nate’s speech will blow up the safe strategy completely.
Nate will talk about the 50 podcasts they plan to release and get the press all hyped up, but his announcement is sure to bring backlash.
Imani will think Nate made the right call by trusting his instincts, but Devon’s inevitably going to lash out.
Nate’s speech could prove beneficial in the end, but there are no guarantees.
Devon will definitely feel like this was too much of a gamble for such an important first event.
Lily may agree, though it’s possible she’ll come around to Nate’s way of thinking and feud with Devon eventually.
Bottom line, all this happy family merger talk was a setup for the friction that’s looming.
Bonds will be tested big time after Nate speaks out of line and causes chaos behind the scenes.
Some behind-the-scenes shakeups are playing out at Newman Enterprises as well since Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) left the company and ran off with Ashland Locke (Robert Newman).
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will finally have a chance to speak with Adam in person and deliver the incredible news he’s been waiting for.
Adam will be named Newman Enterprises’ new CEO – and though this move is meant to trigger Victoria’s return to Genoa City, Adam may think he can earn Victor’s respect as top dog.
While Adam savors his victory, Victor will worry about Victoria and the hold Ashland has on her.
Although Ashland managed to score a reunion, Victor will make it his mission to drive a wedge and push Ashland right back out of Victoria’s life.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Diane will play with fire by provoking Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).
That’s not a good idea considering who Nikki is married to – not to mention Nikki can be a bit of a vengeful menace herself when she wants to be.
Diane also has an image to protect, so she’ll need to be careful if she wants Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to keep seeing positive changes.
It sounds like Diane’s dangerous game could lead to trouble, so we’ll bring you updates as other Y&R info comes in.
