The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, June 21, teases that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will spy on Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) while Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) new designer offer gets in the works.
At the Abbott house on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will be preoccupied over Phyllis Summers’ drama with Jack and the possibility that Diane had a hand in it.
Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will reiterate how he thinks they should stay out of it, but Summer will worry about what’ll happen when Phyllis comes home. After Summer suggests Diane might have loose ends to tie up in LA, Kyle will feel confident his mom’s ready to settle down in Genoa City again.
Once Kyle mentions Diane looking for a job in PR, talk will turn to whether he’s going to take the Marchetti CEO position.
Summer will work to convince Kyle, so he’ll decide he’s in and will plan to talk to Jack about it later.
Meanwhile, Phyllis will sneak in The Grand Phoenix wearing sunglasses and a giant hat to disguise herself.
Once Phyllis makes it up to her suite, she’ll talk to Summer over the phone and pretend she’s still in Savannah with Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei).
Although Phyllis will be bummed to hear that Diane is sticking around, she’ll assure Summer that anger is a poison and will act like she’s letting her own fury go.
Next, Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) will arrive at the Abbott mansion to hear a pitch about a collaboration, which would make Fenmore’s the exclusive carrier for Marchetti in the U.S.
Summer and Kyle will suggest Chelsea as Marchetti’s new designer, so they’ll answer Lauren’s questions and get her on board.
After Kyle leaves, Lauren will offer some outside-the-box to enlist Diane’s help with Phyllis. It’ll help Summer realize that getting Diane to apologize and make amends might be the only path forward.
Summer will determine that instead of keeping these rivals apart, she could perhaps bring them together.
At Crimson Lights, Jack will talk to Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) about a potential summer internship in the Jabot lab.
Allie won’t want to take someone else’s spot, but Jack will insist she wouldn’t be – that she’d be helping the lead researcher on a higher level than the undergrads instead.
After Allie decides to think about it, the conversation will shift to Keemo Nguyen (Philip Moon) and how Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) thinks he’d be happy for Allie now.
Jack will suggest Noah is becoming a good friend, so Allie will run down the list of sweet people she knows in GC – including Diane despite her mistakes.
Although Jack won’t want to dictate how Allie feels about Diane, he won’t think Allie should get too close. Jack will also warn Allie to be wary of Diane’s agenda.
After Diane arrives, Allie will head off to meet Noah in the park. That’ll give Diane a chance to keep connecting with Jack over Allie and Harrison.
However, the conversation will take a wrong turn due to Phyllis as usual. Jack won’t like the fact that Diane always brings it back to this topic, but she’ll insist she’s willing to drop it forever if he answers one more question.
When Diane asks if Jack is hoping to work things out with Phyllis once she gets back, he’ll offer a firm no on that. Jack will claim that ship has long since sailed, so Diane will be relieved and argue that Jack deserves better.
Diane and Jack won’t realize that Phyllis has snuck in the patio door still wearing her disguise, so she’ll seemingly overhear as she spies.
At Society, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will get annoyed over Chelsea’s humming and seem bothered when she fixates on Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) death.
Chelsea will mention Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) asking if they played soccer in heaven, but Chloe will try to steer the conversation back to their designs and deadlines.
A fight will break out since Chloe won’t think Chelsea has her head in the game.
Gloria Fisher-Bardwell (Judith Chapman) will come along to play spiritual guru and will note that she hyped up the new line during JCV’s London fashion week trip.
Chloe will worry about Lauren kicking them to the curb if they can’t deliver more than sketches, but Gloria will have faith in them as a team.
After Gloria offers a pep talk about harnessing the negative energy into something positive and standing strong together, Chelsea and Chloe will cool off.
Gloria will think her work is done here and will sashay away.
Someone from the factory will get in touch with Chloe and let her know there’s some wiggle room on the deadline. Chelsea will also show off a new design that Chloe has to admit was worth the wait.
In the end, Chloe and Chelsea will make a pact. Chelsea won’t think they should ever put themselves into the position of being counseled by Gloria again, so Chloe will strike that deal with her.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chloe and Chelsea will inevitably face more conflict due to the situation at Marchetti, so stay tuned!
