The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, May 10, teases that Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) will have a sad secret while Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) warns Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) away from Summer Newman (Allison Lanier). Let’s discuss what’s coming up in Tuesday’s Y&R episode.
At the Abbott house, Allie will feel like she’s interrupted something, but Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will insist that everyone’s been looking forward to meeting her.
After Allie gets introductions, there’ll be some Keemo Nguyen (Philip Moon) talk before Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) asks about Allie’s schedule.
Allie will suggest she needed a break after a stressful semester, so she hopped on a cheap flight and took Jack up on his standing offer.
When Allie asks for a hotel recommendation, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will insist that Allie should stay with them instead.
Jack will agree since Allie is an Abbott and this is the Abbott house.
Although Jack will have some things to take care of while Traci shows Allie to her room, he’ll assure his granddaughter that he’s so glad she’s there.
Next, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will join Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) at his penthouse, where a meeting with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will be underway.
Devon will admit he’s come around on the idea of a flashy launch party, so Lily and Nate will be pleased.
However, Nate and Devon will worry about Billy feeling uncomfortable as a non-family member at a family company.
Lily will act like that’s nonsense and will defend Billy’s commitment to his work, so Devon and Nate will let it go.
Soon after, Nate will focus on Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) following her 12-hour shift.
As Elena gets a massage, she’ll talk about how it’s not the same without Nate at the hospital.
Once Elena and Nate enjoy a bubble bath together, they’ll discuss how much business has energized him.
Nate will contend that there’s something magical about a family coming together to share a dream.
At Crimson Lights, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will confirm that everything’s all set for Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) small funeral there in town.
Nick will still think Sharon should take someone to Rey’s service in Miami, but she’ll insist on going alone.
After Sharon steps away for a moment, Nick will get a shock when Diane appears.
Diane will assure Nick that she’s not a doppelganger and that his eyes aren’t playing tricks on him.
Once Diane offers updates on her faked death and return to make amends with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), Nick will rant about how devastated Kyle was – not to mention Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) was charged with a murder that didn’t happen.
Diane will contend that she’s changed and won’t care what anyone else thinks besides Kyle.
Nevertheless, Nick will think Kyle should steer clear of Diane – and he’ll warn Diane to stay away from Summer.
After Diane mentions that Nikki and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) already know she’s back, Nick will hint about them having bigger issues right now.
Diane will guess maybe Victor and Nikki are hoping she’ll leave quickly – never to be heard from again.
Nick will think that’s exactly what Diane would do if she were smart, so she’ll ask if that’s a threat.
Once Nick denies it, he’ll suggest that there’s nothing left for Diane in Genoa City.
Nick will think it would’ve been better if Diane had stayed gone, but she’ll be determined to repair the damage with Kyle.
Sharon will approach and freak at the sight of Diane, who’ll confirm that she’s very real and not a ghost.
Diane will admit she heard about Sharon’s loss and will try to express her condolences, but Nick will drag Sharon out.
Once they’re back at the cottage, Sharon will question how Diane’s return is even possible. Since Nick was closer to Diane, Sharon will want to make sure he’s OK.
Nick will insist he’s fine and will want to concentrate on Sharon in her time of need.
At the Abbott house again, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will be irritated over Billy acting like Diane deserves another chance.
Billy will point out that he believes people are capable of change, but he’ll think the decision is Kyle’s to make anyway.
Once Billy finds Lily at the office, they’ll exchange info about their meetings – including Diane’s return to town and Allie’s surprise arrival.
Billy will also mention Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) figuring out he was behind the podcast, so Lily will think he let anger cloud his judgment.
Afterward, Billy will get on his podcast again to suggest that he speaks universally based on personal experiences.
As for those who have evil in their hearts, Billy will vow to show them no mercy.
At The Grand Phoenix, Jack will catch up with Kyle in the lobby. Kyle will admit he wanted to see how Diane was doing after getting grilled by the Abbotts.
Jack will realize Kyle is worried and will think Diane must’ve made a real impression on him.
After Kyle urges Jack to reconvene with Allie, Jack will admit he thinks there’s a specific reason for Allie’s visit – though he won’t want to push her.
Once Jack makes it back home, Traci will suggest that perhaps Allie came there looking for a shoulder to lean on without having to ask.
Later, Jack will get a chance to speak with Allie alone.
Allie will talk about how kind and generous Jack’s family has been, but Jack will insist they’re Allie’s family, too.
Suddenly, Allie will break down sobbing as she sits on the sofa.
Meanwhile, Kyle will head up to Diane’s suite and knock on her door, but he won’t get an answer.
After Kyle ends up waiting for Diane at the bar downstairs, Diane will be glad to see him.
Kyle will think maybe Diane felt ambushed because of what happened earlier.
Although Kyle would understand if Diane were angry, she’ll insist she’s not at all.
Diane will get why Kyle brought everyone together and will think it was a positive thing overall. That said, Diane will wonder where this leaves the two of them.
Kyle will confess that he has something to tell Diane – something that may be hard for her to hear.
Diane will look concerned just before Kyle admits he’s going back to Milan tonight.
Of course, we know Kyle will officiate Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter’s (Cait Fairbanks) Friday the 13th wedding, so his Italy trip will either fall through or turn out to be a short one!
