The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, May 24, teases that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will plot a crisis to distract Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) while Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) spies Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) comforting Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose).
At Newman Media, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will approach Adam with concerns about competing with Chancellor-Winters, but Adam will think the team at Chancellor-Winters should be scared instead.
After Victor calls to reveal Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) European spa trip, Adam will thank his dad for letting him know.
Once Adam hangs up, he’ll rant to Sally about Victoria’s vacation and wish Victor could see that she’s unfit to run Newman Enterprises.
Adam will point out that Victoria and Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) will never find their way back to each other if his sister’s on another continent.
However, Sally will suggest this trip could be a blessing in disguise by giving Victoria a chance to miss Ashland.
Later, Sally will end up in bed with Adam in a hotel suite, where they’ll discuss their next move to push Ashland and Victoria together.
Adam will know they have to stay off Victor’s radar while doing it, so Sally will jokingly throw out some hobbies that could distract him.
That’ll spark an idea for Adam, who’ll decide they need a crisis to take Victor’s mind off Ashland and force it elsewhere.
An intrigued Sally will ask what sort of crisis Adam has in mind.
At Crimson Lights, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will seem down after Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) send honeymoon pics in the group chat.
Sharon will mention how she was supposed to go on a Paris empty nest adventure with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) once Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) went to college.
Fortunately, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will get Sharon smiling with festive drinks and dance moves soon after.
Sharon will enjoy some family time with Nick and Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) before thanking Nick for the distraction.
Nick will also offer to bring Christian Newman (Alex Wilson) over if Sharon ever misses the pitter-patter of little feet, so Sharon will suggest she might take him up on that.
At Society, Nate will find Imani and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) looking tense at a table together.
Amanda will admit they got some news that wasn’t good since Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) is having more frequent heart palpitations.
Imani will worry this could be an indicator of a more serious heart problem, but Amanda will feel like they should wait to hear from Naya’s doctor.
Nate will remind Imani that A-fib is treatable and won’t think there’s any need to panic yet.
Once Naya’s doctor calls Amanda, she’ll step away from the table to take it.
Imani will tell Nate that Amanda’s better at keeping her heart out of the situation, but it’ll be different for Imani since Naya raised her.
After Imani admits she can’t stand the thought of losing her mother, Nate will take her hand to comfort her.
Suddenly, Elena will appear nearby and watch the close moment.
Once Nate spots Elena, he’ll walk over and explain how he was getting takeout before his business meeting.
Nate will also mention Imani and Amanda getting bad news about Naya’s health, so Elena will offer to stay in case they have medical questions.
Next, Amanda will relay some positive updates since Naya’s doctor won’t see any cause for concern.
After Nate heads out, Elena will wonder if she can stay for a drink with Imani and Amanda.
That’ll lead to Imani asking questions about Elena’s former relationship with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and how it fell apart.
Amanda will take some blame for the distance that grew between Elena and Devon since she looked just like deceased Hilary Curtis-Hamilton (Mishael Morgan).
When Imani finds out Nate and Elena cheated, she’ll be blown away since they don’t seem like the type.
Elena will act like everything worked out like it was supposed to in the end – and Amanda will propose a toast to good friends who have already been through the worst.
Although Elena will think the best is yet to come, it’ll be obvious that the wheels are turning for Imani.
At the office, Devon will have a meeting with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) about the upcoming launch party.
There’ll also be talk about the new logo following the merger and how it should be family-oriented to reflect their legacy.
That’ll leave Billy feeling left out – and there’ll be more awkwardness after Nate joins the strategy session.
Lily will confront Billy about his strange mood once the meeting wraps up, so he’ll admit he’s not feeling as important since he’s not family.
Nevertheless, Billy will downplay the issue and act like he just needs time to deal with it.
Afterward on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, Billy will do a podcast that’s all about insecurity.
Once Devon meets up with Amanda at home, she’ll pull him into a hug and bring him up to speed on Naya’s latest health scare.
Devon will wonder why Nate heard about this first and will assure Amanda that he always wants to be there for her.
As for Nate, he’ll catch up with Elena at their own penthouse.
Elena will warn that Imani is definitely after Nate, but he’ll think she’s a harmless flirt who needed some comfort today.
Although Elena will think Imani wants more than reassurance, she’ll insist she doesn’t feel threatened.
Elena will note that nothing’s going to come between them before getting passionate with Nate on the sofa.
