The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) may warn Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) to back off Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) and Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) son. Will Victor vow to crush this bio dad in court if it comes to that?
Victor would do just about anything for his children and has always been quite involved in Abby’s pursuit of motherhood.
Victor paid for all the best doctors in hopes of scoring a more positive outcome on Abby’s fertility issues, but she was left with no hope to carry her own child to term.
Victor then supported Abby’s surrogacy journey and was there for her after the news of Chance’s death hit hard.
Now that Abby finally has the family she’s been dreaming of, Victor will surely have no intention of letting Devon derail it.
Perhaps Victor will pay Devon a visit after getting updates from Abby, especially if she finds out a court battle might be looming.
Victor might acknowledge that he basically asked Devon to step up as a father figure, but things changed once Chance came home.
It’s time for Devon to step aside again and play the godfather role he signed on for. Most godfathers don’t have shared custody, so Victor may point that out and argue that Devon is being unreasonable.
It’d be different if Devon had no access to Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware), but Abby and Chance have been more than generous about that.
Of course, Victor might also note that that generosity could go away if Devon proceeds.
Devon is a very rich man, but Victor also has substantial wealth and a lot more power. Victor has the advantage since he’s willing to bribe or threaten the judge to get what he wants.
Devon has biology and a complicated legal agreement on his side, but none of that seems like enough to defeat the great and powerful Victor Newman!
Victor might warn Devon that he’s ruining his friendship with Abby and could be cut out of Dominic’s life completely if this custody case moves forward.
In fact, Victor might guarantee it with a restraining order or something along those lines.
Victor may blame Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) for leading Devon into a situation where he’ll lose no matter what.
Regardless, Amanda will indeed keep pushing Devon to fight for custody rights – and that could spell disaster if Victor has anything to say about it!
