The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, April 6, reveals that Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) will pay a secret visit to Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) while Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) lures Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) to GC. Here’s what Y&R fans can look forward to.
At the house in Los Angeles, Diane will assume that Jack and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) are together again.
Phyllis will think that’s typical for Diane to go straight to Jack’s love life. She’ll rant about how Diane doesn’t deserve Kyle, especially after everything she did.
However, Jack will admit he planned to forget about Diane until Phyllis convinced him Kyle should know the truth.
Diane will mention that she got Kyle’s number in Milan, but she’ll insist she hasn’t called it yet.
Even so, Diane will wonder if maybe she should stop being a coward and call Kyle herself.
Phyllis will urge Diane to see that Jack is the only way she might smooth things over.
Next, Jack will order Diane to stay away from Allie and will add that it’s non-negotiable.
Diane will remind Jack that he wouldn’t know Allie existed if it weren’t for her.
Diane will feel like she gave Jack a chance with Allie that he didn’t have with Keemo Nguyen (Philip Moon) – the same chance Diane is asking for with Kyle.
Jack will agree to let Kyle know that Diane is alive, but he’ll warn her to walk away if Kyle doesn’t want her in his life.
Diane will note that Jack stayed away from Keemo and will ask if that was the right decision.
That’ll be enough for Phyllis to drag Jack out of there. As Jack and Phyllis leave, Diane will insist she hopes it works out for the two of them this time.
Once Diane is alone, she’ll flash back to some custody drama with Jack as well as some family pool time that Phyllis wasn’t happy about.
Moments later, Allie will show up and get invited in. She’ll notice a framed Diane, Jack and Kyle photo before acknowledging that Jack doesn’t want her there.
Allie will admit it stood out to her how Diane was doing all this to be with her son again.
Diane will mention Allie’s mother in hopes that maybe their bond could be repaired, but Allie will change the subject to Kyle, Jack and the rest of the Abbott family.
Allie will be looking for an outsider’s perspective, so Diane will start by talking about how complicated it was when Kyle came into the world.
Diane will explain that she was artificially inseminated and that the father was supposed to be someone else, but a mishap meant the wrong sample was used.
After Diane reveals that she learned Kyle’s paternity later and told Jack, Allie will find the story rather crazy.
Diane will insist Kyle was deeply wanted and will assure Allie that’ll never change.
Once Diane has more flashbacks of her feud with Phyllis, she’ll talk about how the Abbotts don’t let just anyone in.
Diane won’t think she can hope for love within the Abbott clan, but she’ll hope for a little understanding and forgiveness.
Since Allie will be offering that understanding when it comes to Kyle, Diane will be grateful.
Diane mention how she’s tried to dream small, but Allie will wonder what her bigger dreams would be.
Diane will confess that she’d like to be Kyle’s mother again in every way and be part of his daily life.
Diane will want to dote on Kyle’s child and be part of Sunday breakfast in the Abbott family dining room.
Diane will assure Allie that she’s becoming part of a big and loving family. Diane will note that when they let you in, there’s no better place in the world.
At the café, Jack will fret over how Kyle’s going to take the news that his mother is alive.
Jack will realize he has to do this in person and will decide the best strategy is to lure Kyle and Summer Newman (last played by Hunter King) back home for family time.
Jack will grumble over having to resort to subterfuge like Diane before making the call.
Soon after, Jack will return to the table and admit Kyle’s coming back to Genoa City along with Harrison. Unfortunately, Summer couldn’t get away due to work.
Jack will mention that they haven’t nailed down the details yet, but he’ll hope having something in the works will keep Diane from taking action.
At the Abbott mansion, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will express concern over the way Allie came into Jack’s life.
Ashley will worry that maybe Allie was behind the texts and will insist the texter seemed manipulative.
Ashley will admit to doing a little digging on Allie and finding something interesting.
Ashley will tell Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) about Allie getting her advanced degree in chemical engineering.
Ashley will assume Jack will eventually offer Allie a job at Jabot and will fret over her potentially taking advantage of the situation.
Although Allie is family, she’s also a stranger – and the fact that they don’t know her motivations will trouble Ashley.
Billy will get where Ashley is coming from, but he’ll also understand Allie’s perspective as someone who was late to the Abbott party.
Billy will note that it’s not always easy being the outsider.
There’ll also be talk about whether Phyllis and Jack are just going to keep whatever dance they’re doing forever.
Traci will hope that maybe Jack can have a relationship with Phyllis as well as build a connection with Allie.
Traci will reflect on the “teardrop of love” necklace and wonder if this is Jack’s moment.
When it comes to Allie and Jack’s bond, Traci will get Billy and Ashley to keep an open mind.
