The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Wednesday, August 24 Recap – Adam Steals GCPD Laptop – Kevin’s Frantic Call

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, August 24, teases that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will steal Kevin Fisher’s (Greg Rikaart) GCPD laptop, so Kevin will make a frantic call after a break-in.

At home on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will try to ease Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) mind about her grand plans for the company, including all the acquisitions she wants to make.

Meanwhile, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will make it clear to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) that he doesn’t condone what he did.

Although justice was served in this particular case, Chance will warn that he won’t cover for Victor ever again.

At Newman Media, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will get updates from Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), who’ll reveal that the Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) investigation is closed.

Sally will feel the need to warn Nick about Adam’s suspicions since he’s probably going to keep digging.

Nick will decide he’d better get to the office for the video conference, but Sally will worry he’s going to be late.

Since Sally will have everything set up already, she’ll invite Nick to stay and join her on the call.

In the park, Adam will argue that Kevin is the perfect fall guy: dumb, trusting and a long history of shady behavior.

Adam will act like Kevin’s the one who’ll get burned in this whole situation with Victor and Chance.

It’ll dawn on Kevin that this is really about Adam’s desire for payback on Victor, so he’ll insist there’s no dirt to dig up and urge Adam to let it go.

In a moment alone, Adam will call someone with a job for him to do.

Once Victoria gets on the conference call, she’ll impress everyone with her vision and bold leadership skills.

Sally will later admit to Nick that Victoria isn’t the pampered princess Adam once made her out to be.

Instead, Sally will view Victoria as a warrior and will be inspired to make Newman Media a success.

Nick will seem pleased to hear Sally say that and will be glad she’s on their team.

Once Nick meets up with Victoria in the park, she’ll show off a list of all the acquisitions she wants to make.

Nick will fear they’re biting off more than they can chew, but Victoria will think she can accomplish anything with her brother by her side.

At the ranch again, Victor will tell Nikki how proud he is of Victoria and how she’s bringing the family together – except for Adam.

As Victor reflects on the past, he’ll suggest Adam has never forgiven him for growing up without a father on the farm in Kansas.

On the GCAC rooftop, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will see some similarities in Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) bonding with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) like she bonded with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso).

Chelsea will argue that she’s capable of having male friends without it turning into more.

Things will get heated before Chloe brings Chelsea some dessert as a peace offering.

Unfortunately, Chloe will manage to rile Chelsea up again by acting like she was on the rebound with Rey and is vulnerable to Billy’s charm now. Chelsea will be sick of Chloe acting like she’s desperate and needy.

Furthermore, Chelsea will point out that Chloe has her own history of losing touch with reality, but she doesn’t throw it in Chloe’s face every other day.

Chloe will keep trying to apologize, but Chelsea will want to be treated as an adult who can make her own decisions.

In the end, Chloe will decide to leave and catch up with Chelsea once they’ve both cooled off.

After witnessing part of the fight, Adam will needle Chelsea a bit before talk turns to Billy leaving the podcast.

Adam will suggest Chelsea should get a replacement co-host or perhaps weekly guest hosts.

As Sally watches nearby, Chelsea and Adam will have a pleasant conversation as he shows support.

Sadly, the peace won’t last long since Chelsea will mention how she was just starting to find her groove.

After Chelsea admits the podcast made her feel less invisible, Adam will hope she’s not talking this way in front of Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).

Chelsea will wonder if not being cheery enough makes her an unfit mother, but Adam will argue that Connor is a sensitive kid.

Since Adam keeps his own issues to himself, he’ll expect Chelsea to do the same.

Sally will finish spying and leave just before Adam rushes off to deal with something mysterious.

Chelsea will ask where Adam’s going since he doesn’t have a job anymore, but she certainly won’t mind that he’s departing.

At Crimson Lights, Chloe will find Kevin on a panicked phone call.

Kevin will insist he’s going to come down and file a report, but he’ll think Chance and Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) need to know now.

After Kevin mentions official police business, he’ll reveal that he was inside the library to return some books for two minutes tops.

When Kevin came back, his car had been broken into – and the messenger back containing his GCPD laptop had been taken.

In Adam’s hotel suite, he’ll welcome Lucas (Aaron Schwartz) inside and learn he got what they talked about.

Lucas will point out that Adam didn’t tell him Kevin worked for the police, so it’ll cost more due to the added risk.

Adam will be fine with that and will let Lucas keep the messenger bag. All Adam will care about is the laptop inside, so he’ll hold it and flash a mischievous smile.

As other Y&R news comes in, we’ll keep you posted. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam will continue to cause chaos in Genoa City, so stay tuned!
