The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, August 31, tease that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will make a stunning decision while Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) comforts Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) will also confess to Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) as he shares more about his past, so here’s what viewers can look forward to.
Once Jack learns Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is reconsidering the co-CEO job offer, he should be happy to welcome him to the team.
Since Jack left the door open for Adam to change his mind, it wouldn’t be surprising for him to hire Adam now.
Unless Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) pulls a stunt to stop this, Jack’s startling choice may involve something else.
Maybe Adam will talk to Jack about heading down his own new path – no matter who approves or disapproves.
That could make Jack decide to take the same approach with Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).
Perhaps Jack will make the stunning decision to forgive Diane – regardless of what anyone else might think.
Jack is teetering on the edge of forgiveness anyway, so he just needs one last little nudge.
If Jack officially takes that step, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) could soon grow even more concerned about Diane latching onto his father.
Other Y&R spoilers say Chance will cross paths with Chelsea and offer a pep talk. Chelsea will feel down in the dumps now that her career is stuck in limbo again.
Plus, Chelsea still wants to play a role in Johnny Abbott’s (Paxton Mishkind) life and have him know the truth about her bio mom status.
That’s stalled for now, so Chelsea is feeling a bit lost.
Chance will get updates on some of Chelsea’s issues and share a few comforting words.
Since Chelsea knows about the Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) cover-up, she may have some helpful advice for Chance as well.
Over with Noah, he’ll feel closer to Allie now that they’ve made love. T
hat’ll give Noah the confidence to open up about his history, so he may confess some of his shortcomings and misfortune in the romance department.
However, all Allie cares about is looking to the future with Noah – and from where she’s standing, it looks awfully bright!
