The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Wednesday, February 23 Recap – Adam’s Disloyalty Enrages Victor – Billy Warns Victoria

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, February 23, reveals that Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) disloyalty will enrage Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) while Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) warns Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle) of her downfall.

At Crimson Lights on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will bump into Victoria and make a pitch about her new ideas as COO.

Sally will get why Victoria would be skeptical of her in the job, but she’ll insist she can do more than talk a good game.

After Sally admits she’s a match made in heaven with Adam professionally, Victoria will suggest that maybe something personal is going on, too.

Sally won’t think that’s any of Victoria’s business and won’t think it’d be any different from Victoria’s relationship with Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) anyway.

Victoria will disagree on that and will wonder if Adam really views Sally as his equal partner or if that’s just Sally’s perception.

Sally will ask what Victoria’s implying, but Victoria will claim she was just curious and cut their conversation short.

At Newman Media, Adam will announce that he has nothing to report on Ashland and won’t in the future either.

Adam willrefuse to spy, but Victor will rant about the family being in danger and will wonder if Adam is too arrogant to see beyond his own shadow.

Victor will act like Adam has never taken a real step to be included in the family, but Adam won’t see how committing espionage makes him one of the gang.

Adam will tell Victor to find someone else to do his dirty work, but Victor will insist Adam had better help before there’s no Newman Media left!

Victor will think the Newman empire is at stake, but Adam will stand by his decision to avoid playing these games with his father.

That’ll leave Victor furious and wondering if it was a mistake to believe in his son.

Victor will think Adam is displaying disrespect, arrogance and hubris right now, so Adam will guess they’re finished here and walk out.

Later, Adam will meet up with Sally, who’ll reveal that Victoria is on the hunt for details about their personal relationship.

Adam will be more concerned about Victor and will admit he might’ve overplayed his hand.

Adam will explain how he rejected the spy orders and suggested he was willing to walk away from the company for good over all the loyalty tests.

Sally will feel confident that Victor will eventually admire Adam for standing up to him.

Adam won’t be so sure, but he’ll appreciate the way Sally believes in him and will plant a kiss.

Next, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will stop by Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) place and admit he’s considering leaving the hospital for a job Ashland offered.

Lily will push Nate to come work for her at Chancellor Industries instead, so he’ll walk away with two exciting offers to mull over.

At Society, Billy will sit down next to Ashland at the bar and push his buttons over what he’s plotting.

Billy will hint that Ashland would like for there to be a lot more Locke at Newman-Locke.

Ashland will suggest it must be hard watching Victoria be married to a man worthy of her, especially after Billy blew all his chances.

Billy will counter that he’s moved on and is in a solid relationship with Lily – one that isn’t built on lies and secrets.

When Victoria interrupts, Ashland will note that Billy has some interesting theories and seems to think she’s more threatened by her husband than she’s letting on.

Victoria will wonder how many times she has to tell Billy to back off, but he’ll wish he’d blown Ashland out of the water back in Tuscany.

Although Billy will hate the fact that Victoria married someone who can’t be trusted, he’ll be glad the kids are far away from this toxicity at boarding school.

Victoria will argue that with the kids out of town, there’s no need for them to cross paths.

Billy will be fine with that, but he’ll warn that Ashland is going to let Victoria down in a way that’s hard to imagine – and when he does, it’ll be a long way to fall.

Afterward, Billy will get updates on Lily’s job offer to Nate and will think he’s going to make the right choice.

Billy will also beat himself up a bit for losing his cool with Ashland, but Lily will give Billy credit for becoming a better man and moving beyond all his schemes.

As for Billy’s podcast, Lily will think they should move forward with it.

Billy will promise Lily can count on him to be her COO no matter what, so she’ll be satisfied that he can balance all his duties.

Back with Victoria, she’ll rant about Billy being Billy and will think Ashland has joined the list of people who stoke anger in her ex.

Ashland won’t be concerned other than how it’s affecting Victoria, but she’ll insist there’s no need to worry.

Victoria will also bring up her coffeehouse encounter and her suspicions that Sally is now a couple with Adam.

Ashland and Victoria will agree this is going to be a disaster.

In fact, Victoria will think Sally’s going to be so much of a distraction that it’ll become impossible for Adam to do his job.

After Victor calls Victoria to summon her for a meeting, he’ll speak to Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) via video call.

Michael will confirm that he persuaded the Peruvian doctor to share his story against Ashland on video, so Victor will seem intrigued.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victor will fight to sink Ashland and gain the upper hand, so stay tuned.
